Company Description
We’ve come a long way since our founder, Andrew Prescott, started running bike tours out of his apartment in 2004. Since then, we’ve expanded by way of partnering with other local bike shops and spreading the word. Now, we have two storefronts of our very own: the tour and rental shop at 103 Atlantic Avenue, and the bike shop a few doors down at 109 Atlantic Avenue.

Boston City View tour: Lee and Becky did a great job on the tour. Plenty to see and a wealth of knowledge. Will be back!
I caught a flat on my commute home through downtown and the urban adventures SUV i had just passed in traffic pulled over and offered assistance, even tho i was on my private bike. Big kudos for supporting the biking community in the thick of traffic!
My daughter's and I enjoyed the City Tour today. Gregg and Pell were great guides through the city. We did bike on the streets of Boston which was an adventure in itself but Gregg and Pell made sure we were okay. The bike ride itself was 2.5 -3 hours covering a ton of the city. We loved it. Well done.
I had an amazing tour with Greg as our guide! Everyone at the office was very helpful in making sure my bike and helmet fit properly. The tour itself was a great mix of biking and stopping to hear history and facts from Greg. We covered a good amount of ground to be able to see a bunch of different neighborhoods but we took plenty of breaks so the biking was not overwhelming. I would highly recommend doing the tour while in Boston!
Took the 2 hour city view tour with Len and Bob. Turned into a great 3 hour meandering visit of the north end, Fenway Park, the south end, Copley Plaza, and Beacon Hill. It was the perfect meld of riding and listening to the history of Boston. Can’t wait to take another one of the 7 tours they offer. Thanks Len and Bob!
Awesome way to see the city of Boston. Tour guides were great very knowledgeable and the tour was just the right length. Highly recommended.
I was recommended Urban Adventours from a friend as I was in Boston for a long weekend but sorry $40 rental for a hybrid and even $40 for a kids bike for a 24 hours or $25 for two hours? My car rental from Alamo was $29 a day.
Such an awesome way to see Boston. Lee and Jenny made me feel safe on unfamiliar city streets, provided tons of knowledge and history about Boston, and gave is lots of laughs. Saw and leaned so much more than if I had stayed in a car, walked or biked on my own. I recommend to everyone.
I am so impressed by this company! My family used Boston Go cards and the bike rentals are a must when trying to see all the sites. We were nervous at first with our 2 x 11year boys biking in Boston but there are so many bike lanes in the city it made the experience a fantastic and enjoyable one! we were able to do so much more because of this. Urban also accommodated my son when he requested a BMX- and they so nice and eager to help. I would highly recommend this to anyone trying to see a lot of downtown - it’s the way to go!
My family and I did the three hour guided bike tour. It was a wonderful combination of exercise and education; what fun. We saw things we would have never seen on our own. Our guides, Andrew and Lee were professional, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and safety oriented. Pace was great, plenty of stops to rest and listen. Excellent value. My family couldn't stop talking about this wonderful tour and the service. We highly recommend this tour company.
I visit Boston almost every year and always stop in this shop. I've rented a few times from them and bought some nice touristy bike things as well. Sometimes I just look around (it helps that our hotel is just across the street). I've always had good friendly service.
