What is Software Distribution?
As the name suggests, it is the process to distribute software to end users. Software is distributed in bundles with a set of files, instructions, configuration settings and other settings to deploy any system application. Commonly, there are four types of bundles including File bundle, directive bundle, Imaging bundle and Windows bundle. When a bundle is assigned to a computer all the users can access the files. It is followed by unpacking and installation. This is generally the last step of software distribution. Directive bundle deals with performing multiple system actions. File bundle installs system files into the system and Imaging bundle performs several actions before an OS boot.
