When Arun Sampanthavivat opened Arun's Restaurant in a storefront on Chicago's North Side, the decor was bare-bones, but its Thai food was extravagant. Eleven years and one move later, Arun's (pronounced ah-ROONS) is in a home that matches its food.

Absolutely amazing. My wife and I went for our anniversary. George served us with grace and wit, and truly made the night special for us, an event to remember.
This place clearly knows how to serve their customers. Consistently with a very kind mindset. The food is fairly priced, constantly delicious and clean.
Great and delicious food, I loved the mood the place has, and the cashiers were very nice. I will surely visit here next time.
What a super fun gourmet dining experience. We dined saturday 9/7/19 and I must say Arun's is a resturant for people who want to have a lux tasting evening. The 12 course diner is a must along with one of their house made craft cocktails, or a few!! Hand made delicate dumplings to mini lobster tails and Chilean Sea Bass are a few of what to expect here. Im not sure if the 12 course menu rotates items but the one they are presenting now is a home run!! Outside of strange parking on the street there is not one thing I can even say wasn't 5 star about this place. I mentioned to the Host I was super excited about the food and was unexpectedly surprised by the world class service.
Beautiful traditional Thai restaurant with great service and good food. We shared the family styled banquet with curry pork, curry beef, fish, and lobster. Everything is wonderfully presented, but tasted average. The taste didn't matched the price. Credit accepted, both metered and street parking available, quick pleasant service.
We drive an hour to come to Arun's, that's how good it is! The food is expertly prepared and served and the food is just exquisite. It's a fixed 10 or 12 course meal so all you need to do is order your drinks, let them know of any dietary restrictions or dislikes and let the food come to you. Whenever we have a significant milestone to celebrate Arun's is where we go.
At the first moment you come to that place the stuff gives you a pleasant feeling. Very comfortable hosts, it is a happy place to to go out with friends or with your date. tasty meals, creative chief cook and stuff, honest cost and courteous service. Highly recommended.
We arrived at this restaurant for dinner. we heard about this spot from many people. Well, we were not disappointed. The crew welcomed us with a smile and we had an excellent feeling. The meal was yummy. We had a great time and we shall absolutely come back again. Recommended.
Very well kept and welcoming restaurant. They serve generous meals and for inexpensive rates. I enjoyed the food a lot and the staff members were super affable and chatty. Highly recommended.
