Great facility, great staff, awesome classes! Truly enjoyed my pregnancy from beginning to end and definitely can't express how AABC was there to help with everything. My delivery wasn't an easy and ideal delivery, but I wouldn't change the experience at all that I had at AABC. Would definitely use them again for my yearly exams and any future pregnancies. Thank you AABC!

I delivered both my children here, in 2011 and in 2014. I always felt comfortable, secure, and confident with the prenatal care I received, and loved the centering. My deliveries and follow up were above expectations. I have returned to AABC for family planning and well woman care, which are also top notch. The midwives are genuinely caring and skilled providers. I could not recommend AABC more highly.

I loved my experience with AABC. The midwives were all so kind and caring, they really made me feel comfortable throughout my pregnancy and delivery. I am so happy that I chose them,I had the experience I have always wanted, I can't thank them enough. This was my first child and I will go back for my next one.

We had both of our boys at AABC south. I highly recommend this special place for anyone looking for a natural child birth experience. In fact, a few of my friends have decided to birth at AABC after hearing of our amazing experiences. If we are able to we will have all of our children here!

AABC is AMAZING. It was very important to me to have a natural child birth without the experience being too "granola". I wanted the warmth/support that a midwife could provide without feeling like I was apart of some hippie cult. Which is exactly what I got! I always felt that the ball was in my court and I could trust my body while still getting solid medical advice in a professional setting. I ended up having to transfer to the hospital and getting an emergency c-section and Joanne & Kat (who are both incredible) were there the entire time to make sure I was supported and that I was getting as close to the birth that I wanted in the given circumstance. They offer awesome prenatal and postnatal for both mom and baby. I am so grateful for AABC and I will be back for my next pregnancy.

I had our first daugher at the north center and it was such an amazing and EMPOWERING experience that as soon as I found out I was pregnant with our second daughter I knew where I wanted to have her! We lived down south at the time so we ended up birthing her at the south center. I had a lot of issues too with our second with my body trying to go into labor early and they never added to any of my worries or stress. They just monitored me closely and gave me some great recommendations and my little girl thankfully held out until 38 weeks to come meet us! Everyone is SO welcoming and they made me feel like I was family. I can't recommend them high enough!

I love AABC! The midwives and staff are warm, welcoming, and super friendly. I always knew I wanted to have a natural birth, and I'm so glad I found AABC. The midwives were always open to my questions and concerns, I never felt awkward or brushed off. AABC is a community of people that genuinely want you to have the birth experience YOU choose. The love and support I felt each time I went in for an appointment or a prenatal yoga class was pretty amazing. That's the other thing, they offer prenatal yoga classes, birthing classes, and breastfeeding classes all of which were very helpful, especially since this was my first pregnancy. I had a lovely experience with AABC. It truly does take a village to bring forth and care for new life and I found that at AABC. I highly recommend to anyone looking to have a natural birth with midwives. Thank you AABC!

I had my son at the south location of the Austin ABC in September of 2012, and am back for my second round of prenatal care for a baby (hopefully) due this coming January, and I can't say enough good things about this place. The blend of diagnostics and 'medical' care with the feeling of ultra-competent family who provide support through the entire amazing journey that is pregnancy and childbirth is incredible. It's like a cross between an awesome doctor's office, and your favorite aunt that just happens to be able to deliver babies. When my son was born, the fact that my husband got to be an integral part of the process and supported in being a birth coach was extra awesome. I'm looking forward to that part again. And I loved the fact that I could eat/drink and move around - whatever I needed to support an energetic birth without any drugs. I did end up needing an IV for hydration eventually - which they provided without missing a beat. I also really like the simple flow of paperwork throughout the process. And they give you the comprehensive prenatal / delivery / postnatal / "omg I have a baby now what" care that allows you to focus on the important work of being a parent. I'm happy to be a return client, and happy to have the support of this team once again. If you're at all curious about birthing by this route - you should DEFINITELY come check this place out. You won't be disappointed.

I was recommended to AABC by three other friends who had all their children at the North office between 1995 and 2005. 8 kids in total. Rave reviews. I had all three of my children at AABC South. 2012, 2015 and 2017 I received a lot of love and support. I highly recommend them to everyone expecting. I felt I was in competent, experienced hands and got great coaching while I was in labor. No complaints.

My husband and I had an amazing experience with the Austin Area Birthing Center. They did an amazing job educating us as first time parents through the entire pregnancy process. At each appointment they took the time to listen to our questions, address any concerns and always provided valuable educational information for us. In addition, they offer SO many free classes including yoga which was wonderful during our pregnancy process. Unfortunately, because my baby was breech I was not able to delivery at the birthing center. However, when I went into labor and went to the hospital one of the midwives made a special trip to the hospital just to check on us and see how we were doing! They really do care about each and every one of their clients and provide outstanding customer service!! Thank you for making this special time so wonderful for my husband and I.

(SOUTH LOCATION) I don't even know where to start to describe my love for the Austin Area Birthing Center. I used the South Location which was amazing from the start walking in for our first appointment. We never had to wait more than maybe ten minutes. Everyone knows your name or at least knows your story. You really feel special there every-time which feels really amazing especially for a first time mom. If I ever had a concern, weird feeling, didn't matter they listened. You also have so many opportunities to meet other moms which is nice. All of the midwives at the South Location are truly amazing and love all their moms. I had Sam deliver my baby and it was the most unbelievable experience I have ever had in my life. For someone type A it was like the universe knew who to put me with. Ms. Denise was my mid wife assistant throughout my birth and she really made all the difference. During my labor and delivery I felt supported, understood, and listened to. They knew when to let me be and when to step in. Sam and Denise: the two of you will always have a special place in my heart. For moms who are hoping for a natural birth on your own terms this is def the place for you. We are all so blessed as women to have a place like this. I am so thrilled I can continue care with with my well woman check ups. I also look forward to bringing my new daughter here. Special MENTION for partners: They will always include your partner in conversations which my husband really liked. One of the midwives even showed him how to find the baby's position which was really fun.
