I recently purchased a TV Stand and there were some issues with processing the payment. They went out of their way to help me find a solution and I found their customer service and going the extra mile for a first time small customer was excellent.

We rented their BlackMagic FlyPack and used it for a solid 24 hours during a livestream event for a client. Everything came in terrific working order and despite being a little worried about the heat all the devices were generating, it all performed flawlessly. Their customer service was rapid, efficient, and readily available to answer any of my silly questions. Even though we're on opposite sides of the country, this is the second time we've rented gear from AValive and we'd absolutely do so again.

Called and ordered a part at 10:14AM for NEXT DAY and 8AM the next day I received a shipping document saying that it was shipped ground.
This part is for an important hospital project and this failure has set us back considerably.
I wrote the company and explained my issue, this is the reply I received:
"Your order did ship with free ground shipping. Overnight was not requested.".
Except for having 2 other technicians standing behind me when I called in the order, AValive may have been right...
Customer service totally blows. They do not respond to your emails. I ordered a part a month ago and they shipped on rack ear for a HDMI switcher. These things come in sets, as per their listing. Who in their right mind would ship just one rack ear? First and last time customer. BTW, I wouldn;t be upset if you had fix this issue, but your customer service is about the equivalent of a baboon.
The lowboy entertainment console I purchased from AValive was shipped quickly (likely drop-shipped from Milestone) and arrived a little later than expected due to weather conditions.
The carrier, SAIA, charged me $189 for a bogus service. After a single email, Bill at AValive and Matt at Milestone worked with SAIA to get the bogus charge dropped.
The console was very high quality for RTA furniture and I'm very pleased with the purchase and especially with the customer service I received from AValive.

Rented 4 Sennheiser Lav mics for a Christmas Play. They got it to me overnight!

I ordered a external hard drive that was described in the title and product description as 4TB drive. I receive a 2TB drive in the mail and immediately contacted the seller. After to days time I was sent a return label with no explanation. I replied by asking what happen to my order and if I would ever receive the drive I order. No explanation was given. The communication from costumer service was very poor. They never answered my questions, and are slow to respond.
In mid May I rented two Panasonic P2 cards from AVAlive using my American Express card. At the time they charged me $1,668.00 – the full replacement cost for the two cards – with the assurance that this charge would be reversed when the cards were returned. I shipped the cards back FedEx and they received them on May 17. They did not process the $1,668 reversal until June 1, over TWO WEEKS after receiving the cards back, with the result that my Amex bill included the the $1,668.00 charge and must be paid. They have not earned my future business.
I had an amazing experience with Avalive. Thank you thank you. I ordered the DaVinci Studio package. I needed a quick turnaround, and got it even sooner. Bill Columbus was super helpful as well. He called and responded to emails promptly. He even took the time to answer questions that weren't about the software. He gave me technical advice and more. I would highly highly recommend them to anyone looking for professional services without having to pay the astronomical prices. Especially for us indie film folk.
