Amazing service and all natural products!
First time I had visited a Base Coat after hearing so much about it. Service was so comfortable and friendly and I was blown away by the staying power of the nail polish! I purchased a quick mani and there was absolutely no chipping for 9 days, even after rock climbing multiple times and really putting my nails through the ringer. I ended up taking off the polish only because my nails had grown out too much. Very impressed & will be back!
The salon advertises itself as “a safe option for pregnant or nursing mothers” and "free of harmful toxins and chemicals" but when I informed the LoHi staff and manager that the Method brand cleaning products (not state required sanitizers) they were using are ranked “D” for reproductive toxicity by EWG and that I had a sore throat and headache from the smell they told me I should take my business elsewhere. I'm livid to say the least and wanted to share this as a warning to others who visit this salon for the same desire to avoid the typical toxins of nail salons. My service was fine and I tipped her but when I approached the front desk staff... not unkindly...The 20-something’s more or less blew me off and handed me a card I could "email my complaints to". No apology, no offer to make amends or address the issue... just a shrug and we don’t have time for you, pregnant toddler mom who selfishly snuck away for her first pedi in 6 months. So upsetting.
Love this new space! The salon is gorgeous and they offer beverages with your service ( rosé!). Lyda gives the best gel manicure that seriously lasts forever.
Minica was amazing, she took such good care of my nails, and chatted the whole time! Which I love. The space was clean and beautiful and they have a cute selection of goodies to choose from in the shop. It's around the corner from the Denver Central Market so you can grab a coffee but they have an awesome offering of tea or rose while you get your nails done. Can't wait to go back!
This place is amazing! I get the best mani/pedis here and I feel so relaxed the entire time. Everyone is super nice and I don’t feel like I’m going to pass out from the smell. Book with Mariah if you go, she’s the best 😊
I saw Kady today and it was my first time at Base Coat. She’s a freaking rock star, like for real. I came in with hard to remove polish and picked a tricky color to apply and she knocked it all out and did a great job. Thank you again so much. Appreciate you!

Base Coat in general is such a wonderful Nail Salon. They are kind, respectful and run a comfortable atmosphere for their clients. I have been a client for close to 2 years and have regularly seen Mariah for both Gel Manicures and Pedicures and she has always done a PERFECT job. The other ladies there are equally as attentive to detail and I have never walked out of there without complete satisfaction.
