Scheduled a balayage appointment with notes stating the color of my hair and what I wanted. Get to my appointment and was told she needed to.do another type of coloring to get close to what I wanted. After agreeing then she says she didnt have time to do it. Again...I left very disappointed in another austin salon! Will not be going back.

Black Orchid staff and quality of care are excellent! I feel comfortable and so pampered at Black Orchid. The staff is caring and works with you on any concerns you have. They also have a cute section of boutique options and a free nail painting station that I loved. The staff doesn’t push products. They’re warm and will treat your very kindly. I left very happy with the quality of their work and products and will call Black Orchid my new hair home. Visit with Fernando! He’s their best kept secret.

I have been in search of a good stylist. I usually move around a lot and by the time I find one I'm on to the next city. I tried out Emma based on reviews. I'm so glad I did! She was personable and really listened to the cut I wanted. I really appreciate that she was more cautious and didn't just do what she thought was best. She cut it then asked what I thought and that she could take off more. So many stylists just cut and cut and cut and I end up with straggly ends. I will definitely be going back to her. The salon itself is cute and in a great location. So happy with the results!

My first experience. It was good customer service but the haircut wasn't good. It is too short and too maculine. I look like a man now . . . I don't know what possesed the hairdresser to give me such a cut, I asked for even sides and a about 2 inches of hair and I got about 4 inches and a guy haircut. The first reaction from my boyfriend was that I look like his butch lesbian sister which is not what I was going for. Dissapointment and wearing a hat for the next millenium. Didn't have the heart to tell the hairdresser she f-up my hair and I'm going to a wedding in 10 day looking like this!

O...M...G! I feel like a million dollars😍 💎💰💲 Fernando did an amazing job with my color even after I messed up and made the process worse by doing a box😱 temp color a few weeks ago. It said washes out in 28 washes...LIES! But Fernando was honest and wouldn't give up. He stayed late and made sure I was satisfied even if it meant staying really late to make sure I was perfectly OK with the results. I sure was especially since the color is WAY out of my comfort zone. I love it! So glad I pushed the limits of my comfort level.
