Review & Rating
Just say we take book donation's. They say store credit but it's really half and half. I have $30 store credit and $2 cash really like I said y'all don't buy books . You should remove it from you sign. I honestly feel they would have given someone from the area a better price and they have erotic books in the African American section. Just no all the way noooooo unless your from the area. They also said that you can't use the store credit at once only half . So even if you have store credit you will still be spending cash.
Excellent selection, but they have stamped the books with their store's logo and information. In addition they mark clearance books with two thick red lines on top, maybe it is my pet peeve, but if the original owner of a book marks up the book - fine, but for a store to do so... I stopped looking for books because of the stamp (the Mrs. found two books without it) and that is all we bought.
The people who work here are super helpful. They can help you find any book. The buying/selling process is super convenient, making finding the right book for you easier than it ought to be.
I've been driving past this place for at least a decade and never managed to make it in. Boy have I been missing out. This place is packed with stuff. Books, comics, DVDs, CDs, Vinyl, and toys/collectibles. It is much larger than it looks from the outside. It can honestly be a bit overwhelming but the staff is super helpful. Organization is relatively good but the toys/collectibles are kind of all over the place.
Regardless, this place shouldn't be missed. Don't be like me and keep driving by wondering what they have, just stop in and take a look!
Do you like comics? Books? Music? Movies? TOYS? Book Nook is a must-visit if you're in the area. My wife and I drop in at least a couple times a month to see what's come in, grab new (and old) comics, and look for obscure movies or just great deals on new (lightly used) stuff. There's an amazing range of just...things! Sometimes we'll just wander around til we find something we didn't know we needed, and there's *always* something.
This is the best place to buy and sell books. If you have kids or are an avid reader, this is where you can get your books. When you finish one you can sell it back for a credit to get your next book. They also have games, comics, toys, and music. Keep items in good condition so they can accept them back for resale.
I have a love-hate relationship with this store. On the one hand, they have a great selection of comic trades and back issues. On the other hand, the owner- when he is present- insists on loudly speaking endlessly about his personal politics.
In fact, he is the reason I don't spend as much money as I otherwise would at this store. Whenever he is there he sits on the counter loudly droning on and on and on about his personal politics. Endlessly and loudly. To the point where you can hear him no matter where you go in the store.
On top of that, he is insulting to anyone who disagrees with him (not that many people speak up because that would mean actually engaging with him). I have historically walked right back out if I see him in the store without spending any money. It has now reached a point where I wonder why I spend any money there at all.
Everyone's politics are their own. However, perhaps a business owner should think about whether or not he wants to alienate people who are there to give him money.
And seriously, stop with the stamping paperback books and running markers over dollar comics.
Better set aside hours if you want to explore this gem. Huge selection of used CDs, books, and movies at good-to-great prices. I've never shopped their vinyl, but it's there if that's your thing. Also, it's an alright place to buy comics. They sell what looks to me to be all the major titles (Marvel, D.C., and Image) as well as some alternative and adult titles.
The amount of books and comic books are amazing.
The 3 stars [and it’s my own fault] is that I took 3 1/2 boxes of comic books in for them to buy. The amount they gave me was ludicrous. I should have gone elsewhere. They were Superman and all in plastic sleeves.
I do not recommend going to them to buy.
