Customer service was terrible or some lady wearing a blue scarf on her head... seemed like she was not interested to be there and serve customers... bought beef patties, terrible patties that I’ve had in my entire life... stale and disgusting, had to through them out.... will not recommend anyone to go and buy patties from these guys...
I have never actually eaten here and now don't plan to because of the extremely rude woman who answered my phone call. I called to inquire about gluten-free options and she said "I'm not the owner. you keep calling here asking this question!" and hung up. That was my first time to ever dial your number.
I love the oxtails and the jerk chicken meals. The rice and pease is excellent and the plantains are the best in Houston.
I was highly disappointed with my meal. The chicken was very old and there was just a spoonful of cabbage compared to the amount of rice and peas although it smelled good and looked very appealing in the tray I was highly disappointed with my food. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
This is my 3rd time eating from this place, they come to my job every other week and there oxtails are amazing! I also tried the beef patties for the first time and they are pretty good also. They were my first experience with carribean food and I am glad I gave them a try.
I recently found out about this restaurant through a friend. I've eaten there twice and each time meal was simply delicious. The Oxtails just melt in your mouth and the rice and peas is to die for. The jerk chicken really reminds me of the jerk chicken from Jamaica which is always good when they say its jerk chicken and it really has that authentic taste. The plantains are the best I've tasted in the US and to make each experience even more memorable the customer service was phenomenal.
Food was ok use to be better... wish they sold boiled provisions,coffee or tea or even soup time to time PLUS MANAGER DOES NOT PAY HIS EMPLOYEES RIGHT.. THEY WORK HARD TO COOK FOOD FOR THE PEOPLE..SUM1 PLEASE REPORT SIR JONES I'VE TRIED
The beef patties are so good. My husband took me to try this place twice and both times the experience made me want to go back to try something else because the food is so good. I had the oxtails and I was like this is the best Oxtails I've ever had. Then I tried the jerk chicken and it reminded me of the first time I tried jerk chicken while I was in Jamaica. The plantains are amazing as well and I really enjoyed the cabbage and the rice and peas. I also like the Jamaican drinks they sell. I don't get to try those often so I'm glad they had them in stock.
Jerk Chicken had no jerk flavor. Both jerk and curry goat had a weird indistinguishable flavor that permeated all the food, even the rice. Veg Patties were hot and fresh but a bit mushy. The woman who served the food was nice. The location looked clean.
Updated review below! :) Had the vegetable rundung...it was blah. Seasoning was barely there, the rice & beans were dry as well as not fully cooked so it had hard pieces. The plantains were decent though. Really wanted it to taste good. Dang it! Thank you so much for the replacement dish! The lady who served me was so patient & nice! Thank you again ;)
