- 15321 San Pedro, Suite 200, San Antonio, TX 78232 USA
Company Description
A San Antonio tradition, Chester's Hamburgers has been serving old fashioned hamburgers for over 30 years. It had always been our dream of opening up a restaurant where you could enjoy a good old fashioned burger made with the freshest ingredients.

Being a lover of Burgers I was not that impressed with the Bun. The Poppy seeds are a nuisance. I would have preferred a plain white bun toasted. The meat was cook good but it mainly lacked on the bun. The bun was a bit tasteless. The place looked a bit cluttered with stuff all over the walls. The restrooms were hidden by all the clutter. Good eating but not the best in San Antonio

Pretty much my go-to for burgers in San Antonio. Burgers are always good, fries are fresh cooked in clean oil and something not typical for burger joints, a huge selection of beer.

Above average burger spot. Nothing crazy. Fries are kinda ehhh. Onion rings are really great. Definitely a haven for boomers if that's the vibe you're looking for.

Chester's is a San Antonio gem that had been around for decades. They had upscale burgers long before the other ones sprouted up, and Chester's is still around and strong. Their poppy seed buns are as unique as is their homemade green chile sauce. The service is always quick and the staff is nice. If you don't want a burger, they also have an assortment of salads, really tasty milkshakes.

Had not been to the 281 location in a while. Use to eat there a lot always good soft bun and remember the burger the next day. Well, at there last night and today all I remember was that the Bun was a little cold and hard. Not so good. What happened.

Flavor: A Service: A Tea: A+ Solo-dining: A Just because you've been around for 35 years doesn't necessarily mean you're serving up excellence. But in this case, it's true. Everything about my first Chester's experience was superb. It's a really good burger. I don't think the patty is homemade but it's juicy and tasteful. The poppyseed bun must have some sort of sweet nectar in it that perfectly absorbs the burger juice - and it looks great too. And then the fresh cut, fresh cooked fries. They are also perfectly delicious. Top all of this off with a large glass of freshly made iced tea and genuine service and you have a well-satisfied customer. Who'll be back.

Oh wow! We live in Kansas City & are traveling to Corpus Christi...we were told to stop here on the way down... I've had some good burgers in my 49 years, this is one of the top burgers I've had. If you are in the area this is a must... If you're not in the area...it's worth the drive.

Chesters has a great burger, they are juicy and can be topped in multiple ways. The chili cheese burger is perfectly messy and hearty. The bacon Cheese Burger, a classic, gives you all the crunch of a good bacon burger from some decently sliced bacon. Chesters has a supremely wide offering of canned and bottled beers to pair with your food. The one draw back is that sides like fries , onion rings, etc are all extra. The one element that draws every burger from good to great would be the poppy seed buns.

The burgers and fries here are amazing. We all loved them and would for sure have it again. Also had a hotdog and it was really good. Portions are big, cooked amazing and just taste awesome. Lots of drink selections including beer, cider and wine as well as sodas. Loved it all.
