Review & Rating
We love City Care Family Practice - friendly, efficient, and we never have to wait long.
I've been going to Dr. Chung's for almost 20 years. I love the efficiency of the family practice and I appreciate Dr. Chung's thoughtful analysis of whatever I bring to him.
Awful service. The practice represents itself as a patient focused tech forward practice with an online patient portal and mobile tool for check in. In reality the office is dirty, the reception staff are very curt. They force you to come in for an appointment to get a refill, or state that they will charge $25 to call in a one month refill.
Do yourself a favor and find another doctor.
Very good staff. Excellent service
1) Received my annual check results 3 wks late because they forgot to put them on the portal until I called. Results shows abnormality in a few categories while doctor only commented one sentence saying essentially normal. They asked for extra appointment to just discuss the results. 2) was referred to a specialist and the address was completely off. Did not realize the error until I arrived the wrong location and have to reschedule
Personable, helpful, and professional. Are insightful at taking a holistic view of ailments and recommending complimentary / supporting methods for treatment plan.
Excellent, thorough staff. Tamar is outstanding. Definitely recommend this practice.
I went in for my annual physical last week and did routine lab work. The doctor and staff did not inform me of abnormal results. It wasn’t until my pharmacy called me to inform me that I had a prescription waiting for pick-up that I realized something was wrong. Even after calling City Care to speak to Dr. Chung, they did not have clear answers and Dr. Chung refused to get on the phone with me or to call me after he was done with seeing other patients. Reception is either scared of the doctors, incompetent, or both. Either way all parties, the front desk, physician assistants and doctors are very unprofessional. This wasn’t the first time this office has dropped the ball. They’ve written me an incorrect prescription AND claimed all results were normal when lab tests clearly showed multiple abnormalities. It is very obvious they don’t care about their patients. It seems they do not want to take the time to review your labs and procedure results thoroughly nor inform you if they so happen to notice abnormal, important, and time sensitive information about your health. You have to always be your own advocate! Imagine if I did not review my records thoroughly. I would not be surprised if they have a malpractice suit brought against them. Then they’d really be too busy to give their patients the attention they deserve.
Dr. Bruce Chung has been my PCP for over 20 years and has created a "family" feeling with me, his client. Very personable, knowledgeable, caring yet professional. Like any office it is subject to the consequences of insurance - volume, short scheduled appointment times - but the bottom line is I have trust and confidence in his care. I am dreading the day when I will get a notice that he is no longer practicing because he has retired.
Dr.Chung had been my primary care physician for over two years and I wouldn't change that for anything. He is very attentive and will talk to you about anything that you have a concern for. His knowledge in general medicine is up to date and I always feel comfortable and happy after all of my visit with him and his establishment.
