Derek Ott, M.D., M.S. was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended Stanford University where he received a B.A. degree in Human Biology with Honors. He subsequently attended the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, where he completed his medical and graduate training (Masters in Neuroscience).

Dr. Ott is extremely accessible and easy to communicate with. He has been very helpful with our child who has multiple issues - ADHD, OCD, PTSD, +. Ours is a fairly complicated situation and he has been extremely helpful in all aspects of the care of our child. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who asks.
Dr. Ott is a caring and knowledgeable physician. He has helped my son with his ADHD and is very open to trying new medications when there are any unpleasant side effects. He is non-judgemental and understanding. Dr. Ott is very easy to talk to and up front about his concerns. As a parent, I trust Dr. Ott with the delicate task of helping us to find the right medication for my son. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Ott.

Doctor Ott has been a breath of fresh air. Of all of the many doctors we dealt with over the last few years, he really took the time to listen to us and respond to the issues at hand.
