Detroit One Coney Island opened its doors on Woodward Ave in the summer of 1999. Since then we have prided ourselves in using nothing but the finest and freshest ingredients in our dishes. From our American style Breakfast to our convenient and vast lunch offerings, and our delicious dinner options, everything is prepared fresh to order and guaranteed to satisfy!
Review & Rating
The current staff was too busy talking to reach other during the night shift. It took A while to place the order. Then did not complete it. Pita and a cake. No cake. Good was good as always. They gotta do better.
The Coney Hot Dog was good. The chili wasn't the greatest but mixed with the hot dog made it good. Also, the Reuben with sauerkraut and 1000 island dressing was good.
Pricey! Paring is in the back through an alley. Great seating once inside. Only order items that are "chicken" everything else is frozen and not as fresh.
My new favorite place! I love the staff here. I keep bringing new friends to this place. I love it! Great breakfast burrito, awesome breakfast. Delicious Koolaid!!!!
Our watress was very informative. She knew we weren't from there and gave us all the great places to eat chill an have drink. Very sweet girl
Great food. I had a burger and fries. Fries are unique and good. Brought me hot sauce with out needing to ask. My wife had a Coney and a corned beef egg roll. She enjoyed both.
Lack of service staff for dine in. Quality and presentation of simple breakfast food items not good. I was given the wrong bill, wait staff never came back to table to check if I need any drink refills. This was my first time ever dining here and it will be the LAST. I do not see how they can operate 24 hours a day with their lack of service standards
No punches place with a solid Coney menu. They can be a bit inconsistent especially with their delivery service and it seems to depend on the server (& the crowd) whether or not they'll make certain things like milkshakes. Good drunk food, not sure I'd eat here under other circumstances but they do what they do pretty well.
It was a wonderful end to a day out in the city. So many things going on tonight Downtown! Long night out, had fun. Found 2 new places to check out tommrow.
The customer service is SO bad I can't believe it. I've been here 2 times. The 1st time I thought that it was a fluke that our order sat waiting while the night staff talked and laughed. I watched as they got calls and looked extremely irritated that they got orders. We waited for 15 minutes before we asked about our order and it had been sitting 15 minutes. Tonight I called and was on hold for almost 10 minutes!!!! Who does that? Thing is, ,it must be acceptable because I've seen similar reviews. I guess I'll make a pb&j at home. I will NOT GIVE MY MONEY to be treated this way.
I have been to this establishment twice, and the first time was a good taste of food and average service (7/10). How ever the last experience the waiter forgot to give the kitchen our ticket... twice... we were there for two and a half house until we got food. I advice to not go there at night.
Great dogs! Very quick service! Small place but family style seating. Make sure you have cash and avoid the service fee when you pay with a credit card. Hot dog casings are great and they have the pop when you bite into them.
