This is the best tailor in Minneapolis. I have been coming here for years and their work is consistently flawless. I have had pants, jackets, dresses and skirts altered and have always been impressed with the work. I'm obsessed with my clothing and this is the only place I trust.
Great Tailor with Reasonable prices. I bought a nice suit online and needed some minor tailoring alterations. Pants were unhemmed and jacket needed to be brought in around the waste. She did this all for $75. I thought that is pretty reasonable and quality was great.
I had a fine experience. It's true, the owner is brusque, but her work was very good. I just chose not to take the brusqueness personally.
I wouldn't even give this place a star, but I had no option. After goggling and reading reviews I decided to give this place a go! I had recently received a jacket with much sentimental value, but it was much too big for me in the shoulders. This jacket means so much to me that I was willing to spend whatever it costs to have it fitted correctly. When I brought my jacket in to Eleni's I was greeted by a man. I showed him my jacket and described what I would like done. The man then called over a woman who was working in the back. When she approached she was cold and had hopes of a smile cracking on her face. She said, "what?!" to the man, and looked at me wearing the jacket. I showed her where the jacket was to big and asked if she could bring it in. The woman yanked on my jacket and said, "no." I was appalled and asked why? The woman then told me it was too expensive and I could not afford it. I simply said thank you, and left. I hope no one has to experience the same treatment.
Ok so as I read the reviews I have to agree with the owner/tailor herself being " not so friendly" BUT..... she is from Russia and her ability to speak english isn't really the best. She struggles a bit. I personally think her work deserves 5 stars. After all...that's why we bring our clothing to her isn't it?? I will definitely go back to her.
Eleni was accomodating with tailoring a bridesmaid dress. She listened to my requests and finished the dress earlier than planned.

Great service! I would recommend this store to any of my friends. I loved the kind, friendly atmosphere. She really knows what she's doing!
I brought in a suit for a wedding last fall (I was the best-man in the wedding) that I was required to buy from Men's Wearhouse...let's just say it still looked like a tent *after* Men's Wearhouse tailored it. SO I brought it to Eleni's and she made it look like it was custom-made for me...in a week...during wedding season. It looked great. And I just got married in October, and so she tailored my wedding blazer and, again, it looked so good after she was done. I can't say enough great things about her skill - I've tried four different tailors in Mpls and I've finally found the perfect one. So now I'm bringing a nice winter coat I got for Christmas to her tonight to have it taken in a bit. I also love that she's "all business" and no chit-chat (I'm an introvert, so this is ideal).
Eleni spent some time looking, but couldn't find the garments I had left with her for tailoring. When I asked her how she was going to compensate me for the lost items, she went on a tirade saying I must have already picked them up, and was holding an "expired" claim ticket. After a few minutes of utter ridiculousness, I ransacked her store a bit and finally found my stuff on the "for sale" rack tucked away in the back of the store. As I hustled out the door, she continued to yell at me for misleading her about the garments, and lying about the claim ticket. Needless to say, I was not terribly impressed.
