These guys were awesome! Great attitudes. Easy going. Fast and efficient. They wrapped all my furniture very well with lots of tape and blankets. They even had smiles at the end of a very hot day! Thank you Family Moving! You made my move so easy!
Absolutely awful experience from start to finish - one of the worst days of my life. There are so many other movers out there, choose one of them. They were 4 hours late so I called dispatch every 15 minutes asking where they were but they couldn't locate the driver. I was moving from one high rise to another and because they were so late I missed my freight elevator reservation windows. This made the move take longer, which they charged ME for. Since I couldn't make it to the new place in time, Imissed my cable installation which I was charged for. I was moving 1 mile away and it took them 45 minutes to get there - I started walking to the destination when they picked up the last item and still beat them there by half an hour. They damaged some of my property and refused to refund me. Despite all of this, I still tipped the movers because they worked hard and it's not their fault their front office is negligent and fraudulent. I've moved 3 times in 4 years, all with different movers. This is the only one where I had any problems. There are several other reputable moving companies out there that all charge $100 an hour, choose one of them.
I'm so happy I went with these guys!! Family Moving were nothing but professional. They showed up on time and treated my belongings as if their own. Everything was meticulously wrapped and transported carefully. Extremely friendly and personable, and they got the job done quickly. These guys made my move a breeze! Highly recommended they will work with you at an affordable price! A + moving company.
Showed up 3 hours late with zero heads up. I had to call the office 7 times until someone finally picked up and told me what the issue was. Apparently they were having truck issues and were short staffed... I wanted to feel bad because that’s out of their control. Right? Well once they showed up one of the gentlemen reeked of weed and was angry cussing about having to work. I informed them I only had two items to move and didn’t need a big truck- they used a big truck on purpose because they would then have to take the truck routes. They really took advantage of being paid by the hour when my move was less than 5 miles away. And my furniture was damaged in the process. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS. I wish I would have paid the extra bucks for a more professional team. They were unapologetic about the entire thing and refused any discount.
Family Moving and their team were really great. Really quick and painless move. They helped make the stress of moving that much easier and for that we are grateful! Their men were friendly and courteous but most importantly they knew what they were doing. They had an attention to detail and made quick work of our move (in less time than quoted). I would definitely recommend them and would use them again myself for my next move. Thanks guys!
If I could give zero stars I would- worst experience ever!! Requested a 9am moving time. Confirmed, sent us agreement. Day before we call them to confirm everything and they had us booked us 10-12. We were supposed to be out of my apartment by 10am, but after going back and forth there was nothing we could do. Next day, 10, 11, 12 oclock rolls around, still no movers. Call the company- "Travis" Literally says to my boyfriend, "They're not there, what are you gunna do, cry about it?!?!?" He was such an AH!! Long story short the movers didn't show up until 11PM that night. We had to send the painters and cleaners away who were preparing for the people moving in the next day to my apt. After calling every hour and being told "they're on their way". They are so unprofessional and HUGE LIARS. Reading all these other reviews I should have known- please book another company. Don't go through the anxiety and stress of thinking your movers are completely bailing on you.
Family Moving, in my opinion provided me excellent service! Dan and Joe were on time and very professional while doing the job. They went out of their way to stay within my time frame. I am so happy that I chose this company. Nothing got broken or damaged doing the move! Thanks Dan and Joe for the exceptional service you provided for me.👌👍
This company is horrible to work with. Travis (the supervisor) will insult you and make assumptions about the type of person you are and refuse to let you speak to anyone else. For example, when I called after my move regarding my experience, he refused to let me speak to my original sales person. He explicitly stated that because I was from a younger generation, then I just always thought I was right. I explained to him that he is discriminating against me based solely on my voice and an assumption of my age and that while I didn't always think I was right, I did want to be listened to from the horrible moving experience I had. To which, he responded with "Well I make the big bucks and I know better than you do because you're a certain type of person." He refused to listen to any complaint I had. He also continued to speak over me throughout the phone call. My move was nearly twice as expensive as originally quoted. I asked for an itemized list of the materials they used and the movers refused to provide one. I was told I needed to pay over $200 in shrink wrap and tape for a 1 bed room apartment that had nearly everything packed. Additionally, the movers took over an hour to back into a loading dock. When mentioned this to Travis, he told me this was my fault and that I should have been "a better person and read the contract" regarding the moving materials and that his movers are fantastic and that I was wrong to be unhappy with them. I would NEVER recommend anyone go with this company. I was treated with no respect and charged nearly twice as much as originally expected with no documented explanation on the final charges.
Horrible moving experience! I requested 3 people for my move, and we agreed to that. The person who made the contract (Mark) wrote the wrong number of guys to show up to the move. Only 2 guys showed up when I wanted 3. The truck was too small and the move took it 1.5 hours longer making me spend over $100 more. I called them many times after and they kept redirecting me and hanging up. The person I finally spoke to could not offer any refund or service. He just said "the job got done didn't it". I will never use them again. The movers themselves were professional and did a great job. However, if you want a horrible customer service experience and to pay too much money, go with them.
Very disappointed with this company. My wife and I were moving this weekend and needed movers since i had recently had surgery on my hand. We booked this company only for them to not show up or call. I ended up reaching out to them as it began to get late only to find out they got stuck on another job and would be late or possibly not show at all. I get another call around 9:20pm confirming they were not coming. all of this was not the issue i understand things happen. however, there was zero effort at all to make things right. I was told they could try to fit me in for the following day but they were booked. Having already waited around all day for them with no update i decided to cancel. That is when the guy I spoke with (i believe he was the manager) informed me that they probably were not going to get to me anyway. So basically i would of spent another day waiting for them only to not show up. This made the entire move a nightmare!!! We could not believe that this is how they handled this and we will never use or recommend this company to anyone. A simple phone call to alert us that they were not going to make it, running late or simply not coming at all would have been acceptable. There wasn't even an attempt to come in early and fit us in or anything...what a joke!! book somewhere else especially if you have a time frame you need to keep to....oh yea it was also our Anniversary...guess what we spent it doing.....
They offered to come earlier then the scheduled time. They carried up my very heavy furniture a flight of stairs and when i didn’t like the way the room looked, they offered to move the furniture around so i can see what it would look like. I had a very heavy, solid wood, large dresser and a king size bed/mattress. James, Dan and Wilson came to do their job! The estimated time for the move was 3 hrs, they got it done in 2.5 hrs. Awesome guys! I had worked a 12 hr shift the night before and had about 3 hrs of sleep. Thanks for making my move quick and easy.
