Growing up in Manhattan, KS, my father was a hobbyist photographer and I was his little assistant in the darkroom. I was fascinated with it all from an early age and began learning more through my local 4-H group.

Christy worked hard to make sure my son’s senior pictures were artistic and relevant to his personality. Received picture previews same day as portrait session. Prompt and friendly service! Reasonable prices! Definitely recommend!
Christy is excellent to work with. My teenage son was reluctant to have his photo taken but she made the experience an enjoyable one, and the urban KC backdrop was perfect for his senior photos. I had the link to the photos the next day and was so pleased with the quality of Christy's work. Affordable pricing and great service!
Christy is very kind and patient with everyone, but especially the little ones. She took time with my 4 yr. Old granddaughter making her feel very special...and took great care in posing my newborn grandson- the pictures are great!
I was very grateful to be able to book last minute! We we’re happy with our photos however we did feel that overall the experience was very expensive. Total $325 for 4 photos. I have no problem compensating artists for their work and time but for the finishing effects and simplicity of the photos I was very surprised at the price.
So glad to have reconnected with Christy for our daughters Senior Pictures this week! Loved the quick turnaround to see the pictures. I’ve looked at them several times and love them all! I smile, I cry and then smile again. She captured her just as she is and my daughter loved them too! Thank you Happy Chick!

We've been taking family photos with Christy for over 10 years! Her newborn packages and Santa sessions were great when our kids were young. Happy Chick always does a great job for us. She is reliable and on time. The pictures are great quality and we receive the next day. We have used Happy Chic for many years for group faculty photo and parties. The party pictures always capture great moments. We will use her again this year.
We have been having Christy take pictures of us for the last 2 years. She took our newborn photos, Santa photo (this Santa looks so real!!) and family pictures. She can really get our 2 year old smiling so we have trouble picking pictures. Super easy to work with and a good photographer.
