Armand Jay Mastroianni’s love of food, family and fun led to the creation of a catering enterprise, known simply as Jay’s Catering. “Jay” spent his early adult years pursuing various occupations, but it wasn’t until 1968, at the age of 45, that he hit upon an idea that would change his life and that of his family forever. He started as a milkman, went on to open a supply depot for delivery trucks all the while amassing a fleet of 37 catering trucks of his own, which could be found at the many beaches, businesses and construction sites in fast-growing Orange County.

I contracted this company to cater hors d'oeuvres for my mother's funeral service at a mortuary. They were to provide setup and disposable plates and napkins for 100 people. When the service ended, staff at the mortuary informed our family that they had to ask the caterer to stop interrupting the service because he was so loud and disrespectful as he placed the covered platters under the tables on the floor during the service, as well as not providing paper products. Jay's Catering said that due to our family's grief, I did not accurately remember the conversation I had when contracting their services. I specifically contracted with this company because they assured me they had experience with catering specifically at this mortuary, and I confirmed the order and expectations on two occasions.
We've been using Jay's Catering for almost 10 years for our conferences, parties, etc. They're professional, on-time, and they always bring extra items we might need without even asking --- meaning, they come prepared! Food is good, the decor is beautiful, and they are very organized and helpful when it comes to cleaning up afterwards! If you or your company plan on using a catering company, I highly recommend Jay's

Great food, family owned you can just tell by the way its ran. Lots of options for any event small house parties to large company events.
I've been to many social gatherings that were catered by Jays. The food, service and anything else needed (cups, plates, etc.) is always delicious and satisfying. I live in AZ now and would love to find another catering company as good as Jays. ALWAYS spot on.
Excellent Wonderful Awesome Excellent Wonderful Awesome Excellent Awesome Wonderful. My family was more than pleased with Jay's services. I held my mother's 50th birthday party on Saturday and bartered with Brandon Harris who was a champion in recommending/creating/organizing an incredible menu for judgmental guests ahaha. We had vegetarian everything: palm sandwiches, Mediterranean trays, Thai spring rolls, Italian lasagna, Mexican tres leches cake, California fruit torte(aka cake two). Literally cake two was the largest singe layer cake ever seen. My nephews eyes lit up and worth the order. A lot of the guests were older and absolutely loved the lasagna served super hot, and accommodating to all tastes buds. Also, the delivery team did a great job with setup and setdown no hassle at all shout out to them. My mother regularly drives by Jay's offices on her way home from work and wondered about them, now we will be a repeat customer. Lastly let me point out idiots for you to disregard their click of stars review: AI AI, Richard Nunez, Leonard Chavez, and Sealion Brian. My recommendation is a Guarantee.
My fiance works at a place where Jays caters to them. She bugs me to cook dinner for her because she doesn't like jays cooking !!!!! I yelled at her saying u get dinners at your don't you? She says it's horrible! They preferfrozen foods over jays cooking. Hopefully this review will make them cook better or at least bring fresh good food
Due to excellent employees like Anthony Garcia we will always use Jays Catering. When the staff of a company is so professional, it reflects the quality of the company. In our case everything is always perfect. We love them. The quality of food is everything we look for. They always come through a winner for us.

Jays catered our wedding. They were awesome! Everyone loved dinner and dessert. Staff was also very professional including their bartenders. Friendly, respectful staff. Too bad I can't say the same about The Estate on 2nd staff😕 very disappointed...but thank you Jays Catering for an awesome menu! We can't wait to eat our top tier wedding cake at our 1st anniversary😊
Eunice our coordinator was incredible! She has great attention to detail and nothing was too much trouble, she spent hours planning all the little details with me. The food was exceptional! We had so many compliments. The cake was sublime. The service was second to none. What a great company. Can't recommend Jay's enough.
