There appeared to be only one server working on the night that we went but she worked her butt off and remained pleasant and helpful. We had no experience with Czech food but thoroughly enjoyed a number of different dishes. The four of us had the Brouczech beer on tap and it was delicious. Spaetzle with sheep cheese and bacon, pierogies with sour cream, roast pork, dumplings, red cabbage, sauerkraut, beets, pickled herring she had that stuff is boiled pierogies. All was delicious, but we had lots of leftovers to take home. We found this unique place by using Google maps and the couple that we took from the area had never been but thought it was a "great find." They take credit cards for over $25, but tips are cash only.

Shut the front door. My friends from slovakia took me there and they said it's very traditional. Everything I tried was good. I can't tell you the names of the dishes but it was good food.

Great place with some authentic slovak food! They also serve Kofola ( czechoslovak coke but better ;) ) and some typical slovak alcohol and sweets.

Fantastic food. Very authentic. I highly recommend it if you in the Astoria area. It's nice because it's off Ditmars which can be overcrowded at times. Parking is a real challenge in the area.

A hidden gem in this restaurant-packed neighborhood. Food feels authentic and tastes amazing (highly recommended smoked or roasted pork with sauerkraut!). Grab a pilsner urquell to gulp down with your food in a cold winter day, and you will be one happy person.
