Best puertorican spot in Chicago! Their good taste authentic and always fresh and delicious! My family drives 45 minutes to an hour just eat here and its worth it.
Best boricua place I've tried in Chicago. Great food. Great environment. A bit too warm during summer. Prices are super accessible though. Totally recommend. I drive for hours to be here. It's a repeat place now.
Our waitress Julieta apparently had no experience waitressing. She took our order, brought our food out before the appetizer and when I asked her for our drinks she gave me a dirty look and told me to give her a minute. The restaurant was empty. We were the only table she was waiting on. To add insult to injury our food was lukewarm and she didn't bring us everything we ordered.
I personally grew up in the area and have always loved their food. Today I placed an order for my 30th birthday this weekend and the gentleman helper me do my order to ensure I had more than enough food to cover everyone! The customer service and food is always excellent.
The owner is great! the staff is nice and has that old school vibe when ordering (if you know you know). I use to order more often however had something that had no flavor but must have been of of those days. Other then that the food is great the staff is nice and the parking sometimes suck.
Big portions for low prices. Food is decent. Service and atmosphere are a bit odd at lunch hour.
We ended up WALKING OUT This was my first time visiting this restaurant , it was highly recommend by a dear friend of ours FROM THE NEIGHBORHOOD and unfortunately we were ignored.. a young Lady brought over water and two cups and finally asked what we would like to drink and then she just went and sat down .. She never brought over the two sodas we ordered .. we waited for some one to take our order for FOOD .. we were limited with our time and no one did so by the time we had just gotten tired of waiting the waitress brought over bread .. by that time our minds were made up and we just left $5.00 on the table for the TROUBLE of seating us ..
Good take out place. Morcillas are sometimes too hot, not the way that it is done in the island. But they are good if they don’t use so much chili pepper
You know, i would recommend this place with a 5 star rating because the food is good and the waitress that served us was excellent. But after we finished our meal, this kid that works there came to us to ask if we could leave because there were more people coming and needed the table. I know that is a business and time (and in this case, space) is money. But we were going to leave anyways and we felt that approach was totally disrespectful. Because of that we are not going ever again there.
Food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the chicken guisado which came with side of beans and rice. Everything had so much flavor and cooked very well.
