Crawfish Pirogue every time. Never disappointed.
Seen this place a million times and never stopped in. That was my mistake. Place is really good! We got the gumbo and stuffed jalapeños for appetizers, and they were both excellent. I could make a meal of just the gumbo. The pic I'm including is of the pacific plate or something like that. It was good! We will be going back again for sure.
The service was good the ambiance reminded me of many places I have dined at along the Gulf Coast but the reason I am leaving a 2 star review was my meal was disappointing... There is a strong likely hood I simply ordered the wrong thing or should have changed my order after I saw the specials on the sign by the bar which seemed to offer more of what I was looking for. If I go back and try something different and enjoy it then I will update my rating.
We had the fried catfish. It was served quickly and was HOT. The fish and fries were right out of the fryer. It wasn't greasy! It was excellent. Our server was nice and very attentive. it's a small place, very informal. Shorts and sandals atmosphere. Sports on the TV's around the room.
Hole in the wall, good seafood. Same people have worked there a long time. Place looks bad but is pretty good.
This is an awesome one of a kind seafood Restaurant. It has a hole in the wall style feel to it. The prices are fantastic and the food is Delicious. It's a great Place for raw oysters and crawfish. I definitely recommend the soft shell crab when it's in season. So if you want some delicious seafood at a low price with quick service definitely stop by.
Depending on time of day is how the food quality will be, along with wait times. Crawfish and oysters are a must here.
My colleagues and I have a wonderful experience dinner at Pacific Star on Friday night. The shrimp and oyster cocktail is fresh. The dozen of oysters are delicious. In addition, the service is good and the clerks are kind.
What a fantastic experience! Ask for the Fernando especial...blackened butterfly shrimp, fish, veggies perfecto... delicious and hard to beat. Makes your heart sing and your soul dance!
