Prima Pasta, one of the best Italian Restaurant in Houston TX, was founded in 1989 by Mohamad Akbari. Mohamad who worked for many years as a waiter in other restaurants always had the dream to one day have his own restaurant.

My wife and I visited Prima Pasta with friends for dinner. As someone from Buffalo NY it’s difficult to find genuine Italian food in Houston. This place definitely one of the best and most authentic I’ve found here. Their lasagna is quite good as are any of their pasta dishes. Overall I’d highly recommend!
Good service and good food. The beef lasagna was very good and the portion was hearty. Had tiramisu for dessert; it was good. The atmosphere was nice. There is a nice covered patio here that will be inviting as soon as the weather cools. Will be back.
One of my favorite places. Me and my Partner have a regular date night here. Patio is great when the weather is nice.
For excellent service, go to this restaurant. The food is very good here as well. They have a fantastic wine selection, and a good selection of drinks. I had the Prima Pasta, which I loved. My wife enjoyed the Pasta Primavera. But like I said the service is the main attraction here. You will feel like a member of the family dining here.
Food and service were phenomenal. Couldn't expect better. But it was expensive. They didn't offer coupons or Military Discount....we were disappointed about that. Also, my family said the bathrooms were nasty. Otherwise we truly enjoyed the exquisite meals and utmost kindest service! And beautiful atmosphere.

Took my husband to this location for his birthday and we LOVED IT! The pastas are amazing! I am not a fan of the tiramisu but it was good (a bit sweet but good!) Besides the food being amazing we loved the most is that the restaurant was cozy and had a very romantic and calm setting. Loved it all.

My daughter, son in law and I were in town visiting from Atlanta, Georgia and googled a few restaurants in the area. We found this restaurant to be simply superb. We were met at the door with a feeling of warmth and hospitality. The food was well presented and tasty. I travel a lot around the country and must say I was impressed with the staff and food. Whenever I visit this area again I will make another visit to this fine restaurant.
