Company Description

Riscky’s was founded in 1927 by Polish immigrants Mary and Joe Riscky who opened its first location – Riscky’s Grocery & Market – on Azle Avenue on the north side of Fort Worth, Texas. This original location is still open and operating today after four generations of Riscky family ownership, including Mary and Joe’s son Pete Riscky (who took over in 1952), Pete’s son Jim Riscky (who took over in 1976), and now Jim’s son Joe Riscky.

Way over priced. Our server was great and busted her tail getting our order and drink refills. Took an hour and 20 minutes to get our food and we were the ONLY ones in the restaurant. Food was okay but not any more spectacular than a Longhorn or Texas Roadhouse would be but at twice the price. Most of our food was warm at best especially my husband's meal. Not terribly impressed with anything but the service. A $200.00 tab for $100.00 worth of food.

Visited Texas for a Cowboys game and decided to check out The Stockyards. Based on reviews we chose Riscky's for some steaks. We had the pleasure of being sat in Irving's section. He provided the best service you can imagine. Very quick to replenish our beverages, assist with any of our needs and even provided tips for our vacation. A very delightful sense of humor and an attentiveness that you'd hope for during any dining experience. We will certainly recommend Riskey's for a meal with the request of Irving as the server.

Right across the street from the Fort Worth Stockyards. Rustic, stockyard atmosphere. Nice size bar right as you walk in. Lots of tables for short wait times. Ordered the chicken fried steak and it took up the entire plate. The largest chicken fried steak I have ever seen. Breading tasted home-made. Also got a house salad with in-house made croutons and garlic mashed potatoes. Nice size menu with lots of southern dishes including steaks, ribs, chicken fried steak and even fish with much more.

What a great place! The atmosphere, the decor, the hospitality, and yes definitely the food, all awesome! We celebrated our anniversary here and didn’t have a reservation. We just walked in and were seated! Rodeo Friday on Memorial Day weekend and we simply walked in off the street! The manager later when checking in on us asked how we found the place and it was simply location and Google Maps because of the Stockyards! Plus previous reviews and pictures on here! We both got the Top Sirloins. Steaks were absolutely amazing! Cooked perfect. I like mine medium rare and she likes hers medium to medium well. It was great! The whole experience was one of the best of our marriage!

Best steak I've ever had. Cooked to perfection. Prices were very reasonable. Steak came with a baked potato and a salad, that were both delicious. Basket of bread for the table. Service was prompt and friendly.

First time eating here. Loved the atmosphere! Western and nostalgic. Very calming and inviting. The chicken fried steak was among the best I've ever had. Tender, tasty and the breading was perfect. Gravy nice and creamy. The salad cool and fresh. Loved it all! And desert was INCREDIBLE! Can't wait for my next visit here. That chopped steak topped w Burgundy mushrooms and onions is calling my name!!! Thanks for the awesome experience!!!

While visiting for work I was taken to Riscky's and it did not disappoint. After going there I realized that (i'm from up north) the marketing of "fall off the bone ribs" was something I hadn't actually experienced. It was a lie. Now I understand what that means the ribs were amazing and the brisket fell apart it was so tender. Atmosphere was awesome too it was the best way to experience Texas I loved it.
