i've been there for inpatient and i go for outpatient as well. the quality of the buildings and rooms are very clean and kept well. the staff, techs, doctors, therapists, etc. are all so genuine and kind, they make you feel comfortable and that you are special. if you need anything they will help you depending on the situation. i give laureate and 10/10 compared to other facilities. would highly recommend.

I was transferred here from St Francis and immediately realized I had been lied to. They stated that they would NOT strip search me, but when I got there, I was threatened BY A NURSE CALLED REX with 8 male security guards that would apparently hold me down and forcefully strip me. The orderlies were more concerned with their own business and breaks than with the patients, and patients having episodes were largely ignored. The nurses were cold and rude to me, and refused to give me my prescribed medications. My psychiatrist was dismissive and diagnosed me with 8 conditions(you read that right, 8) after talking with me for about 5 minutes. Horrible, horrible care. Do not recommend.

I did in patient and it was a traumatic experience for me. I did not like it. Four reasons, I had to switch my room twice, they mix groups based on an unhealthy scale (should be one side functioning adults with a hygiene routine and one side with childlike adults who do not know how to flush the toilet, who do not know boundaries and what's mine is not yours). I will also say the nurses don't care about you. Two nurses, Holly said I should not be a vegetarian and eat meat before understanding why I was a new vegetarian (she's overweight and said my decision was a fad). Also Rex, the male nurse was awful. He would not let me speak or use the necessary tools I learned while in MHIOP (A program by laureate and the entire inpatient staff had no idea what it was). It took me to say my peace, voice my opinion as loud as a I could and ignore the therapists and nurses and listen to the techs (burgundy shirt) Cornealius, Cherokee AND listen to the treating psychiatrist to get me through the program. I also was very thankful to the cooking staff. They were so nice to me and the food was delicious! I'm glad I'm out and getting the recovery I need. The only nurse that worked with me is Emily and the psychiatrist is Dr. K. Bless their hearts because she understood my issues with the program.

Just got hung up on cold. My family member was taken there last night needing REAL HELP. Sadly, they appear instead to be more interested in pushing pills than patient rescue. Mental help there needs to be renamed Mental Anguish. They appear better at draining your insurance than helping. My advice? For what it's worth... TRY YOUR LOCAL ANIMAL HOSPITAL FIRST!!!!

I had an incredible experience here. I had attempted suicide and was transferred by police. They strip search you but only to check for existing bruises, wounds, tattoos, etc. I was exhausted physically, and mentally. I waited a while to be put into the system but the nurses were ready to wait on me head and foot if needed. I was put on the psychosis side and fell asleep, shaken and scared but safe. The next day I spoke with doctors and therapist eager to help me and ready to do whatever it took to get me well. The food was always hot and the woman who gave it to us was kind. I made friends even though I was diagnosed with social anxiety and depression. I started to feel like myself after a couple days, and was moved to the depression side to a room to myself. These people genuinely care and want you to heal and go home to your loved ones as yourself.

Reading the other reviews, I feel like I just dodged a bullet. The first woman I spoke to yesterday when I scheduled my first appointment was very lovely and pleasant. She squeezed me in for an appointment today, no problem. Something unexpected on my end of things came up and I was forced to reschedule. I made sure to call hours before my appointment time to lessen the inconvenience. The woman I spoke to today was rude and informed me that I would be charged 50 dollars to reschedule and would have to pay it to be seen. I asked why that wasn't something that was mentioned yesterday when I first scheduled and she told me that new patients get told this during their first appointment. Then she demanded to know my reason for rescheduling, I told her and she told me she'd email the doctor before hanging up on me cold. Glad this all came out before I got involved and actually met a doctor there.

I have been going outpatient for a year here. When I tell you I have never had the worst experience when it comes to the nurse staff and physician. He is cold and literally makes no eye contact. Also makes me come in for checkups way too often when I literally am there for 5 minutes and then have to pay 110 dollars (that’s with insurance) for each of these meaningless appointments. Saint Francis cares about one thing and that’s money. The WORST part is the nurse staff and the utter disregard for urgency, patient care, and common decency is why I will never set foot at this facility again. Having anxiety and depression and going 7 days without your prescriptions because the drs office couldn’t bother to respond to your pharmacy is more than just terrible service it’s borderline malpractice. Do not send your loved ones here unless you want them to die.

Let me start with the fact that I understand people can be admitted for various reasons so I took previous reviews with a grain of salt. So I talked my husband in to checking in for drug addiction. We were told there was phones on each room so he could contact me any time, there wasn’t. It was a phone in a common area that is not available all the time. He was woken up every two hours by a bang on the door for vitals, then again at 7am to leave the room for vitals. His psychiatrist was rude and treated him disrespectful and threatened to hold him there because she could. Not to mention highly unprofessionally dressed. He had to ask for meds because they don’t distribute. The check in process took 6 hours and not because they were busy. They lost his personal items that went with him to the floor he was admitted and sent away approved items. When a person is struggling with withdraws, this is hardly the treatment needed in a highly stressful situation. Once on his floor he had to repeat all the paperwork every time he saw someone different. Then it took another 2 hours to get him in his room after going to his floor. He didn’t even see a doctor until the next day when he wanted to check out. That’s when everyone wanted to see him. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone you love, they won’t feel safe or cared for but they will feel like a number and money coming in. I feel horrible for talking him into this place. Let me add, every time I asked a question I got I don’t know, let me ask about that. It seemed that no one really knows what was going on or what the process was. We almost left before checking in and a counselor talked us into staying. Don’t do it people.

Another routine medication management appointment.. another evening wasted. Every time I show up for my appointment I have to wait while two other patients go ahead of me.. at my scheduled time. I don’t know how people can afford to miss this much time off work. All so I can say “I slept fine. I ate fine.” And be sent home. Awful awful awful.
