Terrible school, doesnt want to help you succeed they just want to take your money. Worst school ive attended and now I cant go to any other university
So cool atmosphere, all friendly guys
The worst veterans affairs department I've ever dealt with. Missy Anderson is the most condescending and unprofessional individual on campus. Rosemary only falls short to the second with her minimal ability to control her implicit bias and racism. I will be filing a class action law suit for the blatant form of discrimination against me today. I only hope they bring the same terrible attitude and racisim when they are deposed. VETERANS STAY AWAY.
This is a good school, for what it is. It's a community college, not a university. The classes here are sometimes a little less challenging than I would like, but I know there are other students who find them very challenging. That probably means that the program is just about right for the average student! I've been attending classes for a year and a half; my classes are mostly at night, so parking has not been a problem. While tuition and books do cost money, I don't think Shoreline is more expensive than other community colleges, and it's certainly less expensive than the University. Almost all the staff are extremely helpful, supportive, and accommodating. They go out of their way to help students succeed. There are a lot of options for tutoring and other assistance. This is a very diverse campus, which is nice to see. There is also a lot of green space. However, there is not any student housing on campus at this time (summer 2017). The one improvement I hope they will make is some sort of one-stop-center, both online and in person, which gives directions on how to do everything to get into the college, how to register and enroll for classes as well as get financial aid/ payments, and how to find all the various support groups and services on campus. It should probably also have a list of student clubs and organizations, and how to contact them all. Maybe this is on the website, but I didn't find it quickly and easily when I needed it. Would be nice to have one page with all the links.
This is not just a college but a home for everyone. I love it and I live it. Shoreline Community College is a college to beat.
Phenomenal school. The thing about Community College is that they don’t just take anyone, they take everyone, and this place took me in for a short but crucial time, and changed my life. Not everyone needs to go to University, and for those who want or need Community College in its place, don’t just go to Community College. Go to Shoreline. Good studies, great accommodations, phenomenal staff.
Veterans Affairs Department is a joke. Missy Anderson is beyond unprofessional, and has zero professionalism in her body. I have tried to get enrolled, and begin the process; however, I am met with a attitude like no other. I have chosen Edmonds Community College which has a much nice campus, and their staff is world class. STAY AWAY FUTURE STUDENT VETERANS
The place has terrible parking. But other then that, Cant say anything bad
I recently graduated from SCC, and I really miss going to school there. Professors are awesome, great activities, cool classmates. The student-run projects here are amazing. Being an international student, I had to really look into schools to make sure I’m not wasting my time and money, and I wouldn’t have chosen any other school apart from Shoreline if I had to do it all over again.
Haven't ever posted a review on here but I feel that I need to inform anyone to NOT take online courses at this school. I was in 3 online classes this quarter and they are probably the 3 worst classes I've had in my 2.5 years of college. Professors teach very little, are hard to reach and slow to respond (a basic requirement of online classes), overall an incredibly frustrating experience. They do offer a lot of options, but everything from registering, attempting to communicate with any of my professors, to having to take finals in person for an online class, it was nothing but frustration for 8 weeks.
