Staff is courteous, friendly and helpful. My family has been coming to Children's Hospital for over 30 years, it's like a second home. Lots of new faces but those that were here when my children were patients (especially my son), recognize us and remember our names and that's what makes the time spent here even better.
I am a patient and volunteer at this hospital and it is just a great place. Oncology department is wonderful and helped me through cancer. They have treated me well here and have gotten me on the right path going forward. All departments I have been to except dermatology have been excellent. Those departments are endocrinology, Rheumatology, hematology, oncology, and neurosurgery. All of them are very good at what they do.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I see a surgeon in FL and I had to get X-rays at STL children hospital and they were rude . The doc hated the X-rays. Now I have to fly all the way to FL to just get a X-ray because of them. NEVER EVER GO THERE!!! IF I COULD RATE IT A -100000000000000000000 STAR I WOULD.
Awesome childrens hospital! They have a whole team of great doctors that care about their patients.
Absolutely horrible. I went in for a painful feeling in my leg and irregular bleeding at 4:45pm. Was not seen till 9pm... If someone is in pain or having issue such as that. There is no reason they should be waiting that long for help. I will never go back to Children's Hospital
The nurses and drs here couldn't communicate to each other or me. I was trying to take care of my 5 month old twin boys with absolutely no help from the nurses just we know hard. They admitted not giving my sons their meds admitted to weighing them wrong and lied to me on numerous occasions including reason for admittance. I always heard good of this hospital but I will never go back. I feel they just milked the insurance and when I questioned them more and more on things they kept running out of answers. I took them there to get cared for and they came out worse than when they went in. One nurse practitioner tried convincing me there were 8 days in a week and that if my son ate 6oz every 4 hours he would be eating more ounces total than 8-10 in a 4 hour time frame. Not sure the mathematics behind that one. They forced my kids to eat when they weren't hungry telling me they didnt know they were hungry trust me I think people in a miles radius knows when they are hungry. I truly could not believe the incompetence of this place. Guess this is the result of common core education
My son has kideny problems and childrens help us out on understanding the illness meds the dotors and nurse's are great in care spent two months up their so what if their is not a coffee shop prompts to hospital and staff
When I first arrived at 6:15 am the doctors and nurses where awesome..they came in back to back waiting on and attending to my daughters complaint of chest pain..EKG was done first doctor told me everything look good..but he wanted a xray of her chest just in case...5 minutes later xray was done...waited and waited it is now 8:15am...still no doctor...8:45 no doctor..go to nurses station to see what was going on...new nurse stated waiting on the doctor to come out...mind you my first doctor told me it looked as if it was a muscle sprain causing the pain in her chest and to continue taking naproxen for pain and we should be released soon..so all we was waiting on was the new doctor to release us basically..9:15 still no doctor to release us...I saw the nurses chatting and laughing in the hallways...got feed up...since I was practically released from my first doctor..I decided it was time to leave..not the greatest service from this hospital...
This is a life-saving hospital. It deserves more than 5 🌟. The ENTIRE staff are friendly, helpful, & caring. My grandson was 2 months old when he was admitted to the CICU. My daughter was a 1st time Mom, single and scared. She stayed there 24/7. They made certain that she had plenty to eat in between our visit with her. We were all included in his treatment. They broke down the diagnosis and treatment. And exactly how dire the situation was. When the discussion of his open heart surgery came, the ENTIRE family: Mom, Grandparents, Great Grandparents, Aunts, & Uncles, were included in conference. The day of the surgery, we were given updates throughout the entire time via an app. That was really a big relief. Knowing everything was fine, he was doing great, surgery was done. The cafeteria has a good choice for whatever you happen to be in the mood for. The cheese fries are really good 😋! The Ronald McDonald House is there if you need to get your laundry done. They have the supplies for you. As well as toiletries for your showering needs. You can also grab a snack and a drink while you're there. The Garden was one of our favorite places. It was relaxing. Just sitting outside in the swing. I honestly can't think of anything negative to say about this hospital!
Awesome staff.Everyone from doctors, nurses, students, housekeeping did whatever they could to help make our stay as comfortable as possible. Not one staff member EVER left our room without asking if we were in need of anything. They were not only professional but very kind, caring and compassionate at the same time.Thank you and may God bless you all.
