The Breakfast Club
- 270 Western Ave, Allston, MA 02134
Company Description
Since 1962, the building has stood as a Boston dining institution. Originally operated as Henry’s Diner, The Breakfast Club’s owner George Athanasopoulos came across the closed property in 2001, inspired to transform it into a dinner with his own signature spin. After a renovation and refurbishment, The Breakfast Club opened for business in April 2002 with a fresh interior, retaining plenty of diner nostalgia while celebrating George’s favorite time period – the 1980’s.

A splurge but I love their cinnamon roll waffle so much. The add-ons are where the price really goes up (a side of bacon might be 6 dollars, your juice 7, etc). But everything I've ever had from them has been top notch.

I had breakfast here the other day. There was a line out the door. But it was worth the wait. The selection was ample, the service was great, the food was awesome and I enjoyed the atmosphere.

Nice tiny dinner serving elevated greasy spoon dishes in Allston. Friendly staff. Food is pretty good in what I tried (Banana & Oak French Toast, The Basket Case). You'll likely wait during weekends in late morning (be patient!). I'll be back to try more dishes

Superb!! I’m traveling through town and saw this pop up on my local spots. When I showed up for a 2:30pm brunch in Sunday, the place was packed! I sat at the bar top since it was just me, and was served quickly and kindly. The menu is full of options and some of the food is cooked right by the bar (ala; Waffle House style). A ton of staff to help, and the food was great! A traditional diner vibe I would highly recommend.

Pretty good food if you're looking for comfort! Normal prices as far as Boston goes($9-$13 ish), and the endless hot coffee is satisfying. Also if you get there early enough, you can beat the crowd!

While I love me a good greasy classic diner, the Breakfast club is a step up in quality. The food is excellent with a funky retro atmosphere. Prices are a bit higher than a small diner but definitely worth it. Eggs are cooked to perfection everytime. Classic French toast better than anywhere in the area. My preferred diner, I only wish it was within walking distance to my apartment.

Breakfast Club in Boston: Wanting a good breakfast, we were told the Breakfast Club near our hotel was a good idea. I thought the diner was cold, it was raining and cold in Boston. Our omelet and scrambled eggs with hash browns were good when they finally arrived. VERY SLOW SERVICE for breakfast food which was good. Coffee refills were plentiful.

My favorite breakfast spot in Boston! Whenever I have guests visiting, I always bring them here. I would highly recommend. The French toast is so good. The decor is a time capsule.
