Been going here 15 years. It has always been consistent food wise except for different wait staff throughout the years. Went there last week, got the Fisherman's Stew and it was just as good as it always been .
This place was a real surprise. It looks like a classic (and I'm not saying that affectionately) New England pub. Then you read the menu and you realize you are in a truly authentic Portuguese restaurant. Every dish was delicious. The portions were crazy big and the service familiar and fun. If you want a great meal and a seriously reasonable price, this joint is it.
Funky little hole in the wall with excellent food. Loved it as did our friends. Felt like you were having dinner with friends and family, service was wonderful. Seems like a little neighborhood hang out which gives it a nice vibe. Do not be put off by the outside. We will go back again and again.
So friendly and warm. We had the mussels, seafood casserole and steak with Portuguese fries, which is a must try

Love the octopus appetizer. Good food even though they lost there head chef. Can get a little pricey.
Excellent food and service, maybe more like 4 and 1/2? No parking, need to find street parking . Clean, cozy authentic food , worth the stop

Very nice and tasty place. We ran away from overcrowded Salem to find a place to eat and were happy to drive in. Awesome steaks, nice pasteis de nata, pleasant vino verde. Thank you!
Excellent, the octopus appetizer was grilled to perfection and the kale soup was a perfect blend and accompaniment. The potatoe fries were perfectly cut and fried. The service was friendly and the process was comparable to the food served. I will be back. Great place..
We were visiting from out of town and found this hidden gem. Authentic Portuguese cuisine, just like avó makes! The caldo verde is some of the best I've ever had. Will definitely be back next time in town!
