Strongly interdisciplinary, this innovative program includes faculty and courses from the College of Technology and the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. Our objective is to prepare students for employment opportunities in the critically important and dynamic biotechnology industry.

It's what you make of it. I'm in the MET program and you can learn and work hard to become an engineer, learning as many skills as you can. Or you can coast through, put in minimal effort and find yourself having a hard time finding a job after college. The MET program here is ABET accredited so you can get a PE from the Texas board of engineers after completing your FE and PE exams and working under a PE for 8 years. Most of the professors are good with a few exceptions but that's normal for almost every college anywhere.
