Review & Rating
I always read reviews and this had some of the best, boy did I get screwed over. I'm hoping everyone else's has been better. 1st off I ordered orange chicken, it's pretty much a chicken patty covered in sweet and sour sauce in slices. Not only did it have no flavor, but half the bites I did have were fatty/nerve chunks. I've never in my life had such a joke of an chicken order, trash.
Good food and nice service
Very friendly, attentive, and good food.
Dishes were good with right amount of salt unlike other Chinese restaurants in Chinatown. Staffs were helpful with good sense of humor. I was really tired eating salty dishes in Chinatown, I was pleasantly surprised with Asian Garden restaurant.
I'm a UPS delivery driver, was driving by the place and stopped and googled it to see if they had take out, nice they do so I walk in I ask for take out and like everyone says about the rude waiters she looked at me and says NO what do you think! this is a restaurant! in top of it they are empty! like wow... good service
Big portions, fast service, not fancy
With exception of the dead fly in our dipping sauce, the food was pretty good. The staff really doesn't speak English well, but the necessary transactions were made successfully. The place itself isn't in the best of shape with cardboard to keep the tables, the tops of which are cracked, steady; the carpet is torn in spots. The tea is hot and delicious; the portion sizes are quite generous.
More of a Cantonese restaurant(everything I've tried is great, including the dry stir fried wide noodles with beef), but their Sichuan string beans with bits of fatty pork are excellent(the portion was huge too). So is the satay udon. They do tasty milk teas cold and hot too. Service is typical for a chinese restaurant, not bad. A great option any time of day/night!
Must order the Salt and pepper chicken wings. The whole entire Boston copy from them first. If you never had the salt and pepper fried chicken wings then you never been to Boston Chinatown!
I've been a regular of Asian garden for a while now. I grew up in the Chinatown area and Asian Garden was a restaurant that my family and I would go to a lot on the weekends. They're very good at seafood and specializes in Hong Kong style cuisines. They are consistent over the years and also makes one of the best salt and pepper calamaris and pork chop in Chinatown.
