These creations take the form of mouth-watering, open-faced, two-hand-requiring steamed bun sandwiches and delicious rice boxes filled with heaping portions and mind-blowing flavour.

I love everything about this place. I love all the food, especially the spicy chicken. And my crazy (loves spicy) baby loves the lentils and rice. There are also unspicy options with tons of flavor. It is easy to order ahead and pick it up, or to order and eat there. Amazing food!
All the food on Ekiben's menu is delicious. However, my favorite is The Spicy Bird and the Tofu Nuggets. The Spicy Bird was fried to perfection and the different flavors on the sandwich gives it a unique taste. It has both a sweet and spicy taste to it. The Tofu Nuggets also were like a sweet dessert with a sweet glaze over it. I would definitely recommend going to Ekiben.
This place is delicious. Seriously so good. The service was great and very friendly. We've been traveling the country for the last two months and eating our way through it. This is one of the best places we have eaten. Do yourself a favor and go. I had the spicy bird and it was amazing.
My go-to is their Neighborhood Bird Rice Bowl, don't sleep on this dish because the chicken is crisp, flavorful, and straight up heavenly. Loaded with a concoction of scallions, herbs, sweet and sour mayo, and then fried to perfection, this dish packs the holy grail of flavors. They always give you a ton of food too, so the price is well worth it! The bun version of this is a light and airy dough, and also a must-try, but I think the bowl is more bang for your buck. I love the pickled veggies that come with the bowl, it really adds zest.
Couldn't be happier with my dinner choice tonight. The staff was all smiles from the moment I walked in. And that hospitality extended to every single customer even when they're swamped with orders. Food was promptly served- I don't ever recall waiting longer than 15 minutes max. And the chicken.... man that chicken was something else entirely. I've never tasted a more succulent, well seasoned, big portioned fried chicken in my life. The rich sauce, complemented with light veggies on the side on a hearty serving of rice (or bun) regularly pops into my head when I'm craving for a delicious meal in Baltimore. If you haven't tried it yet, this is one of Baltimore's not-so-hidden gems. Be sure to stop by and take a bite! Couldn't recommend it enough to my friends and family!
I opted for a curry chicken rice bowl and tempura broccoli. It ended up being two meals. Chicken was described as two thighs but I'm pretty sure it was two breasts. Flavors were excellent, chicken was fried perfectly. What I ordered would be a perfect meal for a couple but I had dinner the next night. Would definitely buy again and try other entrees and the veggie nuggets.
Delicious Asian food with a soulful flare. I had the neighborhood bird on the fresh steamed bun. The flavors mingled so well I wanted to go get another. On top of that the sauce for the veggie tempura is the most heavenly mystery ever. The staff is amazing and dedicated to their service.
Oh my God. Delicious food. Fantastic staff. Great ambiance. This place has it all. Dining in is a bit of a challenge due to its quaint size, but it’s worth trying. ^_^
I am an absolute fan of this place. Staff is very nice and friendly. Love the food. Heard about this place from many people and the food definitely held up to the standards. Love the neighbors bird chicken with rice. I do not like onions but they made onions taste good. Tofu nuggets with peanut sauce are pretty good.
Taste is good, although the price is a little high. Buns are a bit messy. Unfortunately they switched my order with the person I was with so they need to get a better way to differentiate spicy from not. But service was quick and good. Want to come back and try some other sandwiches ^^
Ordered the Neighborhood bird bun spicy. LOVED that I didn't have to put extra spice and was just greeted with heavenly flavors. Servers were wonderful, and fast. So happy to have found this place.
