Amazing experience. I had taken many classes at CCP over several years, but when I finally decided to take my education seriously the CCP community, faculty and staff stepped up. About to get my masters in social work because of that pathway to possibilities that started at THE COMMUNITY COLLEGE of PHILADELPHIA. I steer as many people as possible to CCP. The most problematic group of folks were some of the students who seemed to be more interested in the financial aid refund checks than their course work. Some students would be MIA for weeks and then want to argue with the instructor because they were unprepared to take a test.
The teachers are excellent. Teachers are calm, well rounded and make themselves super accessible. The downtown location is a specially worth it if you’re exploring a new professional field but don’t want to spend four times the money. The main campus has had a $27,000,000 infusion of cash to upgrade the buildings and its library. The gym is not on par with universities but besides that I have found it to exceed all my expectations, plus he view is outstanding and your in the heart of down town!

Took some classes here. Had some great teachers. I enjoyed the classes. I did well in them and it worked out. The price was fair also.
Your phones are not wrong properly... check your phones. I called several other ppl from various phone service providers and they can hear and speak to me. I called CCP and none of the offices are able to hear me on the phone 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️ Not sure how come i can speak to others but not CCp
I am enjoying learning about music and how to use new software and instruments.
over All attending this school i am not happy they have people working here. Who have no idea what they are doing ! And always giving the wrong answers BE SURE TO ASK UNTIL YOU GET AN ANSWER YOU ARE CONFORTABLE WITH The security here sucks and they are never doing there job they are rude and always talking to students the might be students themselves. I never just see them sitting there. They are always on there phone n they don’t know where anything is either. However some of the teachers here are awesome and they are willing to work with you and help...
Lets get right to the point. I originally took a year off so I am an upcoming freshman. I stopped by the main building to get my financial aid situated. I first walk into the building, I met these three guards in the front. Highly disrespectful and the female guards were worse. Had an attitude and everything. I signed in with my mother and forgot where the guard told me to go. So I asked the female guard and she gave me and mother an attitude. Just because we asked a simple question. She was talking to us like we were uneducated individuals and proceeded to roll her eyes at us. Just because you’re having a bad day. You don’t take it out on student that is thinking about coming to this college. But moving along, we head to the financial aid area and we had this other older lady. Extremely rude also, didn’t answer any of the questions my mother had. On top of that she talked over my mother. I have never met such disrespectful staff members. They didn’t help or even treated us with some type of decency of respect. I regret ever applying to this school.
We have been trying since March to get direction for my son who wants to get into a specific pro help for my son, He has gone down to the main campus twice I have spoke to top Admin only to be refereed to others Admins in Allied Counseling who never call you back. Like I said we have been trying to get help since March-2018 No one wants to help, no one wants to take the time to direct you as to what you need to, no one want to take the time to set up an appointment.
Customer service is non-existent! No one answers the phone, you get 10 different answers and even though it inconveniences and prevents the students from moving forward with their education, the staff could care less! No one wants to do more than their job, no help along the way - actually they don't even want to do their job. Just give a general answer and if that doesn't work, "I don't know what to tell you" type of attitude. I work harder to get a hold of people to make things right FOR my education than I actually do in the classroom. I'm a grown adult and can't navigate through this chaos, I can't imagine what an 18 year old right out of high school goes through!
