Dr. Steve Atlas is a Board Certified Optometric Physician who graduated from the University of Maryland in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Following graduation, Dr. Atlas attended Pennsylvania College of Optometry where he carried on research in Visual Rehabilitation and took a special interest in the field of Contact Lenses. He graduated in 1978 as a Doctor of Optometry.

Was referred to Dr Atlas 3 years ago by my previous optometrist who moved to an office that was out of my area. Dr Atlas is very thorough, friendly and easy going. Staff is super friendly and helpful. I don't have vision insurance but his pricing is about the same as what I was paying previously. I was happy to also see he got new equipment this past year so I do not need to do pupil dilation which was a bit inconvenient. Very happy here and will go back next year when I'm due for my next prescription.

The doctor is nice and professional. I wish I could say the same for his staff. The place is a ripoff and overpriced compared to others. Staff tried to withhold my prescription from me because I did not want to go back there after multiple issues I have had with my contact orders.
TRUE STORY: Dr Altas introduced me to contact lenses when I was a teenager. Fast forward to my 50s, he still plays a vital role in my eye care to this very day. We've had a great relationship over these decades & he has consistently given me quality eye care from top to bottom. I've been spoiled having the same optimetrist for so many years. Ultimately he'll retire one day. I don't know what I'll do.
The BEST eye doctor I have ever been to. I have been wearing glasses and going to eye doctors since I was in the fourth grade. I can honestly say that I have never felt more comfortable and confident with any other eye doctor. Dr. Atlas is the sweetest and the girls in his office are wonderful! My husband and I are 100% happy with the doctor, the customer service, and our new glasses and contacts! Thank you Atlas Eye Center!!!
Dr. Atlas followed through with flying colors. He called me and had me return to the office to check my retina since my vision is blurred on my left eye. He referred me to the retina group. I’m hoping it’s not as serious as it appears. Thank you Dr. Atlas for explaining the photos in detail. Greatly appreciated!
Receptionist "Chanel" is her name was very friendly and helpful. Got an appointment the very next day. Doctor Atlas spent an appropriate amount of time examining and answered any questions I had. Fast friendly service.

I am from Pennsylvania and was visiting my uncle in Ft Lauderdale. On the first day of my little mini vacation I discovered that I only brought contacts for my right eye! Since my contacts are specially made a lot of places don't have them in stock. I was there for 4 days so it didn't make sense to order them. Then I found Atlas Eye Center and they saved the day! I called and spoke with Stacey, she was amazing! So pleasant and extremely helpful. She searched and found my contacts. I was so happy! If anyone out there is traveling to the Ft. Lauderdale area and needs an eye center call Altas Eye Center. Hats off to Stacey for incredibly amazing customer service!! Thanks again Stacey!!
