Gold Medal Swim School opened with humble beginnings in an old industrial building and a pool which could be mistaken for a bathtub. Founded by 2x Olympian Mike Troy, Founder and led by 2x Olympic Coach Mike Walker, Owner, the goal of the business was to build swimming the right way from the start and have fun doing it! The motto over the years was always, “If we do what is best for the kids, the business will always work out.”

We have two kids at the swim school, one is 2 and the other is 3. We have been going for many months now and were concerned about at what point our kids would learn the basics of survival and swim. We were not getting any feedback on how they were doing and what we need to work on with them. I think I was a bit frustrated until we moved our son to work with Ms. Sarah. In the past 5 weeks we have noticed a huge improvement with our son's swimming abilities....HE IS NOW SWIMMING and FLOATING, thanks to Ms. Sarah!!! Once we moved our son to her class is when he made a huge change and even graduated from Starfish to now Seahorse. We are so proud of him but so grateful to Ms. Sarah. The entire staff is really good, but I wish all the swim instructors were as talented as Ms. Sarah. She has fun with the kids, holds their interest but yet also challenges them to follow her instruction. Some of the other teachers we experienced didn't challenge our child enough and held on to him too much in the water. Ms. Sarah lets them feel their success by letting them work hard, which is what I really like. Kudos to Ms. Sarah! Thank you so much Gold Metal.
I tell everyone with kids to enroll them at Gold Medal! Our son has always loved the water but did not know how to swim or how to stay safe around water. Frankly he was a bit of a maniac with absolutely no fear of drowning. This was terrifying to me! I searched the valley, researching every swim school and finally chose the very best option. We enrolled him just before he turned 2 years old. By the time he turned 3 he could swim on his own and knew how to behave safely around a pool. Now at 4 years old he still takes lessons here as does his 22 month old sister. We love their teachers, past and present (Miss Becky, Miss Heather and Andrew D! <3) and they bothget so excited for their lessons each week. I have complete confidence in my son's swimming skills, love watching him and my daughter learn and excel and how much they enjoy the water. The teachers are wonderful people who truly love kids and love teaching this amazing AND FUN life skill. I can't sing enough praises!

The instructors are great. My instructor (Emily) did a great job of teaching me fundamental skills of swimming; but I was still having a difficult time sinking to the bottom of the pool. I decided to go on a different day of the week in addition to my normally scheduled class (which is called unlimited swim request, included in your fee). This additional day had a different instructor (Jenn) and she was able to teach me how to swim at the bottom of the pool! It is due to the bonus feature of unlimited swim that I was able to pick up this skill so quickly. Thank you very much Gold Medal Swim School
Excellent swim school!! My 3 year old had lessons here for a year. She can swim like a fish and is not afraid to dive, jump, float, and can be in the water for hours. Love the "extra" lessons you can get in addition to the weekly lesson. All the teachers are amazing and work so well with kids.
We’ve been coming here since our daughter was about 9 months old and attended the baby and me lessons. We loved all the instructors we encountered and their obvious love of children! When we transitioned to the starfish level our instructor Heather made it so easy and Madelynn just adores her!! Cant wait to watch our daughters skills continue to grow! Thanks so much to the gold medal family!
This is the best swim school we have ever attended. Our 3 boys have learned so much and have much more confidence since starting lessons here. We have tried other swim schools but none of them have compared to this one. The instructors are all amazing! It exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend it.
Our daughter started swim lessons here a month ago. She’s in the Starfish level class. My husband and I are thrilled with the cleanliness of the facility and the friendliness of all of the employees. Everyone who works here is really great with kids. Our daughter is already making great progress.
