I really love Jim Montgomery Swim School and wish I had found them sooner. They have the system down with wet/dry rooms, indoor pool, glassed in room for parents to watch and 30 minutes classes which I think are the prefect length for young swimmers starting out. I'm so amazed with the progress my twins have made, I highly recommend Jim Montgomery Swim School!
Yesterday was our first swim with our 2 year old. The teachers were very patient and amazing. We can’t wait to go back next week.
Thanks for providing a safe and welcoming environment for kids to learn swimming.
my 2 kids of 7 and 9 love JMSC since the beginning of that school in January. so much fun in the swimming pool and of course all the teachers are great ! the school open a time and day just for us and friends and that means its a great school -;)) very happy to have find such a great school next to our house !!
After using another small business and one of the "big box" swim schools, I brought my two boys to Jim Montgomery Swim School. I've been SO pleased with their progress! They are learning strokes and making huge progress each week. Can't say enough positive things about this place! It's much calmer than the other places we used (which is a big plus for me). Highly recommend!
We are very happy with JMSS. Our 4.5 year old twins have been swimming there for 3 months. They are challenged at each class and progressing well, which is not the experience we had at our previous swim school. We like the month-by-month class offerings and gracious make-up policy when our kids have been sick. All of the staff and instructors are so kind and gracious. It's a great place!
This is the best swim school in Dallas and Coach Ellis is the best instructor for your kids. We've been bringing our daughter here for two years - since she was eight months old - and she loves it. Also, we drive down from McKinney because we want our daughter to learn from the best and that's what she gets - the best!
I had a amazing time with my son for cuddlefish class. Instructor was so sweet and explained everything. Everyone on staff was extremely welcoming and nice. Top notch facility!
My 4 year old has been taking lessons at Jim Montgomery for almost a year and she loves it. We love the staff, the flexibility of the classes, the amount of classes offered and the convenience of the location for us. The facility is clean and Mr. Montgomery is always there to greet and talk to and encourage the kids and families. Natalia is swimming confidently on her front and back as well as diving under the water. She enjoys the lessons and always looks forward to them.

My 4-yr old is very shy and has a hard time doing new things, so swim lessons without a parent in the water was a big step for him, but he is so happy at JM Swim. He's had two different instructors and both are phenomenal. They have the right mixture of tough love and compassion that pushes him to make progress but let's him enjoy the process. I would recommend this place to anyone.
As a parent in the summer of 2016 I had that realization that hanging out with my kids around the water was stressing me out. My kiddos (ages 4 & 5 years) believed they had the skills of Olympics swimmers who no longer needed any assistance, but in reality couldn't swim a few strokes w/out sinking. I found JMSS online and the kids started swim lessons in the Fall of 2016, the transformation has just been amazing. The small class sizes have allowed individualized coaching and allowed the boys to build relationships with their coaches. JMSS has been a game changer for a family who lives for time at the beach or the pool.
The facility is well organized and run. The staff is great and look like they really enjoy working there. There are even Sunday morning lessons. My kids are making great progress. Jim is always around to check in on the kids. I point out to my kids that Jim was the fastest swimmer in the “whole wide world” when we pass the Olympic gold medal poster near the entrance. Impresses my children every time, and deservedly so. It’s worth the 20 min drive from Frisco. It’s one of the few places that has lesson offerings on Sunday’s as well as on Saturday’s.
