My second time to Gu’s and I’m still impressed. I wish I had a bigger stomach to try it all. The dumplings are classic and delicious with flavors true to China spice. The crispy beef was slightly underwhelming. The portion size was too small for a shareable plate. Will be returning for the dumps ASAP!
To be fair, great food. I usually get the Chicken & Broccoli w/Cilantro and an order of Fried Eggplant.
However, this place is EXPENSIVE!!! Period! $30 for the (2) items. 5 Stars on the food....3 stars on the price.
Made a quick stop at the market and got an order of pork dumplings to split with friends. They were great! Loved the sauce. A little pricey, but would recommend.
Quick service! I got half order of veggie dumplings. They were fast to get out. I wish they didn't charge for sauces. This was my first time trying dumplings. They were soft and filled properly. The sauce they were in was spicy and sweet but a little too sweet for my taste. The filling was not what I expected but it was still tasty.
I was super disappointed. I went with my boyfriend after he raved about how good Gu's dumplings were and when we got them, the actual dumpling was a very doughie/mushie and did not appear to be cooked all the way. I think they rushed through the order and in addition to this, my soup was basically empty. When I went back up to ask about the soup (before we looked at the dumplings) she already knew that they had forgotten to put everything in there. I don't know if they have new staff right now or what, but we ended up not even eating the dumplings and getting something else. It was a waste of money and very disappointing to me.
First let me say the food is always great. My problem is with the wait time. We waited 45 min for 6 dumplings. We actually put our order in at Gu’s and waited about 5 min before going to order our other food. Even doing this we still waited and waited and waited.
I really appreciate your food, it is very good but the idea of a dining hall is to eat together. This was by far he worst but they are always slower than every other stall in the place.
Show your customers some respect and figure out how to get 6 dumplings out in less than 45 min.
Majorly delicious dumplings, hot & sour soup & am taking out Cold Noodle With Sesame Sauce! YAYAY!!!! Can't find latter anywhere in vicinity! Nice staff. Will definitely be back, very often IF Noodles are as hood as they look! LOL Mrs. T
I’ve been here a couple of times and so far they have been consistently good. Nothing amazing, especially for the price, but they do have good fries rice and dumplings and they are pretty quick too. If it were a little more affordable I could see myself visiting often!
Tasty, but my dumplings had no structural integrity. The pork was floating around by itself having fallen out of the dough. Come on, y'all can do better.

The food is good for Americanized Chinese food, but they've changed their prices to where it just doesn't make sense to eat here anymore. The veggie combo is $9 for rice, cabbage, and green beans. Used to be able to select two of dried tofu, green beans, or cabbage, then they made it cabbage and either tofu or green beans, now it is just green beans and cabbage. Unless the prices get reasonable or the options come back I just can't justify spending $16+ for a meal that leaves me hungry again an hour later and offers very little actual nutritional value. I'm not gonna hold my breath though waiting for that to happen though 😕
