Phone etiquette is horrible, I called to schedule for consultation and the lady on the phone was rude, short with a huge entitlement problem. I did not even schedule for this reason I will find another Dr.
I had meet with an accident few months ago so needed an emergency surgery for a broken knee and I was referred Dr. Adam Farber of Phoenix Shoulder and Knee by a friend of mine who had his knee surgery done over there. The doctors who handled my case were very professional and friendly making the time easier for me.Would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone! Very polite, caring and active towards all of my concerns and follow ups. Glad I was in safe hands.
Dr. Farber is a very kind and smart young doctor who is ready to treat me and get me out quickly. I feel awesome after I visit his office!
I was referred to Dr. Farber by a family member who spoke very highly of him. I was told his bedside manner was incredible and he was up on the latest technology for orthopedic medicine! I drove 3 hours to get a second opinion because I've had 2 shoulder surgeries and I'm still not able to lift my arm. My doctor back home is awesome but just wanted a second pair of eyes to take a look at my shoulder. Instead of a second opinion, I was humiliated! I have never been treated so poorly by a medical professional. Upon entering the room he instantly gave me a disgusted look and began interrogating me. I knew he didn't believe anything I said and had no interest in helping me. Then for the exam, he pulled my arm back so hard, I couldn't help it my eyes started watering like a baby. Dr. Farber told me that he couldn't see anything wrong with me and that I should see a psychologist. The 15 minutes spent with him were the worst I have ever spent with a doctor. I don't know what I did to offend him or allow him to treat me so badly but I would never go back nor recommend him ever!!!
great doc... diagnosed my knee problem and provided excellent treatment
Hard to recommend this doctor. He was very arrogant while talking to me and cut me off when I asked questions. His opinion of my injury was very lazy, as he didn't spend much time evaluating my injury. Since then, I have had a different treatment than what he initially recommended, which has started to help me. I think this is a reflection of his laziness. There are much more compassionate doctors out there to see! I also found the staff not to be very friendly like the other commenters.
Dr Farber has always been very concerned and interested in my well being. I went to see him even though he is quite a distance from where I live because of his schooling, studies, and background. My husband and I were familiar with Robert Kerlan in Los Angeles and knew how amazing he was in sports medicine with the LA Lakers, The Dodgers, and other local teams in the area. Therefore, the pedigree, is there.
I have not been disappointed so far in my care with Dr Farber, and he's been taking care of my shoulder as well as my right knee. I'm not a youngster, but a lady in my 70's, so good care, and good bedside manners are very important to me.
I saw Dr. Farber for a ACL, Meniscus, and MCL knee injury. Being my first surgery I don't have any other experience to compare it to, but I felt the experience (as much as a knee surgery can be) was great. He clearly cared and let me ask all the questions I wanted to in the follow up appointments. He's a pros pro and knew exactly what he was doing. My knee feels great, little to no pain ever, and I hope to never have to see Dr. Farber again :)
More than a year after shoulder surgery with Dr. Farber, I'm doing great. I was hesitant of surgery and now that I'm a year post surgery, I'm playing catch and coaching my son's baseball team without any restrictions. It's great!!! He always asks you multiple times in appointments if you have any more questions, gives you excellent details explaining the issue.
After years of football the labrum in my shoulder was tore up.
Me trusting a doctor is like me trusting a roller coaster, it doesn't happen often. I could tell in the first 5 minutes of meeting Dr. Farber that he actually …More
