Company Description

In the early 1960s, Mr. Anton (A.J.) Anthony stumbled onto a new concept for a restaurant by complete accident. After planning on opening an Italian restaurant he read an article in ‘Atlanta Magazine’ complaining that our city lacked the type of cuisine that our visitors would expect, such as fried chicken and deep dish pie.

Really good southern home cooking in a pleasant atmosphere. The food is simple done really well. Nothing pretentious. Very casual and relaxed ding room. Very nice servers with a touch of southern charm.

Very good food. Decorated in the Gone with The Wind Theme -though I could do without the stuffed birds, personally. Friendly service. Casual. Had the salmon.

We always love going to Pittypat's Porch!! The hostess is always so kind and welcoming. Sitting outside is nice when it's not too hot. The last time we went we sat inside and there was a gentleman playing piano. You need to get a drink here!! They have phenomenal cocktails! Honestly you can't go wrong. Also the fried chicken is really good! The sideboard is great! Be prepared to have leftovers! I would love to try their desserts one day if I can make room!!!

So the hostess and greeter at the door were awesome! Very great personalities to welcome people to the restaurant and get everyone seated they did very well even with 3 very large groups. The restaurant looks really cool and we were really excited to try it. Just 2 of us and we waited over an hour to get our food after ordering. We did get a free app for waiting so long for our food that our waitress just brought to us which was nice. The salad bar was disappointing. When we got our food it was not as great as you should expect for the cost. $25 for a pork chop is fine but not when it is way over cooked. Shrimp and grits mediocre at best. We have had great dinning experiences all over the city on our trip and this was the only one that has been disappointing. After we had finished our food we waited another 15mins we had no drinks, no one even came by on the porch to check on us or the other diners and we had to get up and go ask for our check. So we could leave. I’m embarrassed for y’all.

Easiest 5 start review I've ever had to make. Outstanding southern dishes with a cold salad bar for sides. The fried chicken and blackened catfish were great. Plus Graham on piano adds just the perfect touch to the atmosphere. Don't leave ATL with out hitting this spot.

I was in Atlanta for a conference and one of my colleagues was having a birthday. We decided to go their due to the gone with the wind theme. The food was excellent as was the service. The interior was like an old Victorian home in the south. Service was great and so were the drinks. Will come back if in Atlanta again.

Overpriced food that didn't taste too good. The food was either dry or tasted funky. If it was cheaper, I would've let it slide but it was pretty expensive. You can honestly find food that's at least half the price of their food that is much better. The decor was nice and the waiter was sweet. Therefore, I am not rating it a 1 star.

The ambiance was great, and so unique. This place oozed personality, and the food was amazing. It was a great value, especially for downtown Atlanta! The salad bar is amazing, but don’t fill up on it before you get dinner. It’s so easy to see ten million different delicious looking salads that you might see at an incredible picnic and want to try them all, but the dinner is also great, home style cooking.

We arrived around 5:00 and received immediate seating. We sat upstairs in the bar area, a location that was light and lively. Terrence was our server, and we followed all of his recommendations, from Moonshiners Punch, to Fried Green Tomatoes, to Fried Chicken, to Bourbon Street Bread Pudding. The meal was perfect, and the service was even better. This was fine Southern food and real Southern hospitality, at its best. Pittypat's Porch will be our first Atlanta meal every time we visit. Thank you, Terrence!

I enjoyed my time at Pittypat's. The food was delicious (from a Northerner's perspective), the chicken had its own style as they will tell you, and they had a nice salad bar to go with each entree, which I enjoyed. George was my server who was very professional, clearly been at this game for a while, courteous, and was very knowledgeable about the local area as well. He gave me quite a few, great suggestions to do with the rest of my trip here in Atlanta - local stuff and not just the touristy stuff. 10/10 would recommend.
