Originally had a 5 star review because it was a clean establishment and everyone was extremely friendly. I went in because my car was making a noise, like a flat tire. CarFix looked at my car and told me that my engine mount was loose. They quoted me $1500 to get it fixed. I just bought a house and told them I couldn't get it done right away. My boyfriend's dad has been a mechanic for 40 years, now retired. I took it to him for a second opinion and he said my engine mount was just fine! It was my tires wearing down on the sides making the noise. I also took my car to T.A.G and was told the SAME THING. I am beyond upset that CarFix took advantage of someone who knows very little about cars to try to get me to choke out $1500 on unnecessary work...

I have taken my cars to CarFix since moving back to the area in 2009. They have installed new tires, taken care of my balance and rotations, changed my oil and done several major repair jobs that were 100% guaranteed. I have moved away from 40/42, into the Raleigh area, but I still drive back to CarFix for all of my automotive needs! Brian, Mike and all of those guys over there are AWESOME and will have my business for a long time to come!

For the past 6 years CarFix has done an outstanding job taking care of my cars. CarFix not only does outstanding work on their mechanical repairs, but they also are very trustworthy, conscientious, dependable, honest, and provide excellent customer service. I recommend them very highly & deeply appreciate their taking the time to provide such excellent service, their expertise & caring environment, & willingness to provide wise, thoughtful advice and suggestions regarding my vehicles.
BEWARE! They told us we had a leak and our inspection wouldn't clear and would cost $1150 to fix. Took the truck down the street to see if we could get a better price for this fix and they said there was no leak and approved the inspection! Carfix also did a 60K check up on our van and forgot to fill fluids back up so my AC went out! Don't trust them!!
Great customer service. I am so glad I decided to come to cardix today to have my tire fixed. Everyone was friendly. Thank you to Mike and his staff for a great experience.
Carfix is a great place to go for when your car needs help or even just regular maintenance. Everyone is so friendly and they explain what my car needs in a way I understand. The work they do is top notch- professional and dependable. I take all my vehicles here whether for repairs or ongoing maintenance!
I gave this shop a 5 because they actually take the time to look at your car and find the problems. They take pictures of the problems and show them to you and explain in detail the issue and how to solve them. Which I never received at any shop. They have a free shuttle to drive you to and from your home. They have a play area which my three year old love. They have complimentary apple juice and water which I thought was cool. They are also very nice and quick on their jobs! ☺️
