Delicious Indian food, big portions for a reasonable price, and absolutely LOVELY service. One of the employees noticed how we were sitting in a bit of a cramped fashion and offered to give us more space, and then later on noticed we might need extra plates and offered us some. The service was so attentive and considerate, even though the restaurant was already quite busy. Would recommend it and want to give out this shout out to the Dakshin service!

This place is our go to place for a quick brunch. The food is always delicious and is served really quickly. The owner is also very friendly and gives good suggestions. The best part is the filter coffee which is unlimited.

It's a very small place inside so you can throw ambience out of the window. The food was average at best its not a place you would miss out for not trying. Look for other options, there are plenty!

Went with my husband and two sons (20 and 15) for dinner. I was open to a good experience even though the restaurant was a "hole in the wall." I ordered goat curry, my husband ordered lamb curry, my older son had chicken curry and my younger son had shrimp curry. I am originally from South India so I was able to be critical. My goat curry had so little meat that I ate some protein when I got home. The flavor was okay. My husband has a decent amount of lamb in his curry. My son's chicken curry was like a small appetizer. He was still hungry. The shrimp curry was okay. I had a plain dosa for my side and it was passable. So, the price was way out of line with the portion sizes and especially for food that was almost self-serve. We were visiting from Colorado and I was very disappointed by this dining experience. I would not recommend the restaurant.

On a Saturday evening at 8.30 we decided to order a Dakshin special spicy dosa, A masala dosa combo and a paneer Mysore dosa. The dosas themselves were pretty good however the coconut chutney was average. The sambhar seemed a little too sweet for my liking and didn’t challenge my palette a lot. The great part about this place is the free tea. If the ambience and menu was spruced up, this place could do wonders like the nearby Kathakalli. For now, I would recommend Kathakalli over this one, solely on the better quality, ambience and overall experience.

This place has become my regular haunt these days. The egg curry with the layered paratha (bread) is awesome. Really great place to grab a bite. Our house is going through a remodel so we are eating out a lot and Dakshin hit the spot perfectly. New all time favorite place!

Food is great. It is really delicious. I took away one start because the cutlery should be sustainable. In this day and age, using plastics for cutlery is not acceptable. They have done some changes recently and are using more sustainable products, but that is not enough.

Found this Indian restaurant while walking around in Kirkland and really enjoyed it. The food was very tasty and we enjoyed some different dishes and preparations than what we typically order. It was very busy when we arrived around 7:30 on Saturday so it did take a while to get our food but that is understandable. You order at the counter and then pick up your order when it is ready. There isn't a lot of dining space so keep that in mind when visiting this popular restaurant.
