Great experience and good prices. The barbers in Florida Barber Academy are professional, creative and well trained.
For $9.00, a haircut and a mustache trim. Not bad. You just have to endure a barber-in-training. What the lack in "touch," they make up for in attention to detail.
I didn't attend classes at the Florida Barber Academy, but I have had an opportunity to meet some of their fantastically trained barbers. The graduates from the school really are knowledgeable and quite skilled!
The new location is in Plantation. Friendly and affordable.
I been coming here for years and its alright. The price is great you cant argue with a 5 dollar haircut. It really depends on who you get like sometimes youll get a great barber other times you wont. Theirs supervisors to watch,train and help and overall its a good place and like I said the price is awesome.

I attend this school at first I wasn't sure but then if I wanted to go to FCC or this school but I'm glad I picked the right one .... right now I'm on level one and my teacher Ms.Wendy is the most beautiful and sweet and patient teacher I Eva met.... she is understanding and caring and loving and she makes me want to come to school .... she is great I love this school
I went here for the first time today by a recommendation from a friend who raved about this place so I thought I'd give it a try. I am so amazed at the perfect cut I received today; Mrs. Brown was the instructor and she was extremely knowledgeable and professional. She really listened to me and knew exactly what I wanted. I have very thick, curly hair (female), and she told the student about tips for cutting my hair that I have never heard anyone ever say before, and it is absolutely perfect!! I've been to many different hair salons always searching for the best cut at an affordable price, and wow, this one only cost me $7.00!!! It was worth much more than that to me; I am so grateful to my friend for telling me about the Florida Barber Academy.
. It filthy they’re rats in the ceilings, classed are overcrowded. Student doing drugs in the bathrooms and and outside of the school. When they received their disbursement for the kit and first quarter they refused to credit me my hours. I wouldn’t recommend anyone go to this school.
Very Bad Administration, Threats and harassment are not taken seriously. This is not a safe environment. You will be taking a risk on this campus. Disruptive classroom behavioral. Low income doesn't mean I should not be safe.
I have been going to this school since Aug. 2018 and I can HONESTLY SAY: I couldn't be any happier anywhere else because the Dedication and devotion that Im getting from My Professor Mr. George Rodriguez is Amazing! He is by far the Best Professor I've come across in a very long time. I'm coming from "Broward College" w no regrets. Time is FLYING BY😁😃😎. When I started I was told I would only be with Professor G. Rodriguez for level 1, then about a month later they ended up Extending his class till level 2. And now I wish He would be the one to graduate me from the Academy😢😭
I’ve been going to the Florida Barber Academy since it was in Pompano Beach, Florida until They relocated to a bigger better facility in Plantation, Florida and I’m still going either once a month or once every other month for My Shampoo, Haircut and Hot Lather Clean Shaving with Hot Towels/Cold Towels! See I’m a Disabled Veteran of 5 Years in the U.S. Navy and then I’m Retired U.S. Marshal of 25 Years so They take care of Me There every time so I’m very grateful/thankful and appreciative for everything that They do for Me!!
