Company Description

We are a full service barber and beauty shop offering discounted services to the public. All of our services are performed by students who are supervised by the teachers. This approach allows the students to have full hands-on training as well as discounted services for the public. Students with hands-on training feel more confident in themselves and their abilities. They will be ready to work at any barber or beauty salon after finishing our school.

This school is very professional and very well run. The place looks new and well maintained. I got my $4 haircut just to check it out and then registered for their Barbering Course. I'm excited about my upcoming class and becoming a barber in a few months!

School staff were very helpful in helping me obtain my Master Barber License. I held an apprentice license for a while and wanted to get my Master Barber License. They helped me do it very quickly. Would highly recommend them if you're looking to do the same.

I went to this school for Nail Technician class. I had very good experience with them. They accommodated my schedule and worked with me until I finished the program. They are also helping me obtain my license. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to become a Nail Technician.

Just graduated from this school. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to become a barber. They have a hands-on program which is very helpful in learning the skills necessary to pass the state exam. I really enjoyed being a student here.

Very cool establishment indeed. This is a pretty cool idea...school for barbers offering discounted haircuts to the public. I don't think I've ever seen this before. I decided to give it a try and the haircut came out pretty well. The teachers were there to fix some boo boos but overall I'm very happy with the cut and the service. Would definitely recommend it.

Tribeca Barber School has been a great experience for me which I highly recommend. I am waiting to take my Master Barber exam. It has a Barber shop set-up with paying customers which had me a bit nervous but they sign a waiver to say customers understand that it's a school. Truth and Sylvia are on the floor everyday to guide you through different techniques. Marshall is the Monday instructor. They are all great teachers with different approaches to cutting, fading and razor shaving. You'll be working on every ethnicity. Men and women. The first week prepares you for the course. Get the right tools and understanding the importance of sanitation, then you get right to it. I enjoyed the schools flexibility with hours. I took the morning classes and was still able to go to my job.

Really affordable and good cuts. I don't get anything to complicated as they are students but regardless, they are able to cut my hair well and I am happy :) Edit: They now have moved from their Manhattan location to Queens. The price is much cheaper now, $4 compared to $7 before and the new place looks great!

I got a haircut here for the first time a few days ago and it was a very different experience from going to a regular barbershop. As soon as I walked in the receptionist who was very polite asked me to sign a release form and pay $4. She then told a student to cut my hair. The student didn’t seem to speak english so he stood there like a statue. He didn’t even bother to show me where to hang my coat but the instructor thankfully spoke spanish and immediately told the student to get to work. The student then began to cut my hair after I told him what I wanted and he started to do something else. Just as I was about to get up and ask for my money back the same instructor came and fixed my haircut and told the student what to do. He then went around to help other students so I told the student to wait until he got back so he could finish my haircut. The best parts about this place is the staff and the price. In the end I was pleased with my haircut but there’s only one teacher for a bunch of students so go at your own risk.
