Larry is the most honest and knowledgeable mechanic I have ever worked with. I have never had any issues with my car. The pricing is the best I has ever seen. I highly recommend Townsend Automotive.
Quite literally the best mechanic I've ever had. Larry is always so jovial to talk to, and everyone is always honest and upfront about everything. When I needed to change tires, he gave me all the options and recommended that I go with a low-medium tier one to match the life span of my super old car, rather than try to convince me, an uneducated young kid, to buy the more expensive ones. A couple of weeks later, those tires EXPLODED on me on the freeway due to a manufacturing error. Not only did they exchange my tires with new ones, they even realigned and readjusted them (things I didn't even know that were affected and needed to be fixed!) If you're on the fence about trying this shop out, I can guarantee you won't be disappointed!

I moved here a few years ago and have had a difficult time finding a honest mechanic. If you have had the same trouble THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. They are friendly and honest. I was shown the parts after replacement and told why they needed replacing. They made suggestions of a couple things they thought I should be aware of for future repair, but in no way pressured me to do them. The prices I was given and quoted for future repairs as well as the ones I had done were far more reasonable than the last 2 mechanics that looked at my car. This is my go to mechanic for as long as I am living in San Jose.
